Fabulous fresh seafood, music and hospitality at Dawros Bay house. Very relaxed venue with great views. Family and pet friendly and huge Criac. Well worth the visit

After a day's sightseeing around the heritage town of Ardara, my family found ourselves in the stunning location of Rossbeg. The view from the dining room is breath tacking and the seafood chowder was spot on. Looking forward to returning once more when I am lucky enough to be back in Donegal.

Grotty & seriously overselling itself, this dark, grubby amateurish bar/restaurant is billed as a specialising in seafood. Over cooked lobster followed by pear & apple crumble which was inedible mush. An underwhelming experience & a waste of a beautiful location. Not worth the drive down the potholed driveway.

We have eaten in this place three times over the last year. Very tasty seafood in a great location. Particularly if you get to sit outside overlooking the bay. Very laid back atmosphere.

we called in for drinks at this bar which overlooks the beautiful bay. Pleasant garden, reasonable prices and good service.

This place is about 30-40min drive from portnoo. Found the place ok. Driveway is full of potholes. Doesn't serve food Monday through Wednesday so I was disappointed as I heard it was good .Had a pint with my girlfriend. Bar man was nice but couldn't offer a light or matches as they didn't sell any. It's a quiet area.heard a... More

What a brilliant place to visit. Reminds one of the old black and white movies with wind swept shores, rugged terrain, sailing boat leaving the harbour as fishermen prepare their lobster kreels- and then Dawros house with its eclectic mix of people - local farmers, fishermen, tradesmen, dosctors and roadmen and visitors.....and then Joe and Maria and their marvellous staff,... Well worth the trip out if you are in the general Ardara area, the road out is a loop so you can travel round in a circle and both ways into the hotel are stunning. Rossbeg it's self is a harbour on one side of the village and 2 stunning beaches on the other (one obvious one and one near... More

We happened upon Dawros Bay House quite by chance and were most greatful that we did! We were following the road from Portnoo and Narin heading towards Glenties where we were planning on having a bite to eat, when we saw the sign. We decided to give it a whirl and drove down in to find a lovely large house... More

Joe and the rest of the family and staff went beyond the call of duty to host my 30th birthday at the Dawros bay on saturday 14th September 2013. We had a delicious seafood bbq cooked by Joe himself, with plenty of guinness and a fantastic atmostphere with the infamous band "The Black Stuff" creating an amazing atmosphere. I couldnt... More
