Although the decoration and place is inviting and nice, the food is overpriced and disappointed.
We went for lunch and ordered Mexican salad and La Fiesta breakfast and whereas the dishes were correct, Mexico was nowhere to be seen.
It was just a regular salad with...avocado, even the dressing was nothing special. The brunch I ordered was simply fried eggs on brown bread, avocado and smoked salmon with a side salad. Again, I don't see Mexican food here, but regular dishes I could have ordered somewhere else in Ireland. We expected to have a different lunch and ended up with a boring one.More
Ate here last Saturday evening, I had read some reviews and was looking forward to our visit ..what a joke.. this is not a restaurant, in order to run a restaurant you need a chef, I has nachos for starters ,, nachos arrived with a...few sauces- a three year old would have prepared it, I then had a very basic streak wrap costing approx €19 - I could have picked up a wrap in a shop for €5 . Don't waste ur moneyMore
Have eaten here several times now and always feel that I want to come back. Delicious freshly-prepared food; cheerful and friendly service; great value. And, unlike so many Irish restaurants, there is a thoughtful selection of vegetarian options.
The food was delicious, with generous portions and great salsas on the side. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, and they even threw in some free Coronas when our Modelos weren’t cold enough. Well worth a visit
I went in to my visit with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised as I experienced food and atmosphere that rivals the Mexican food served in restaurants in Southern California. Would highly recommend to any of my Latino friends who come up to Donegal.
Friends we traveled with asked for a change in menu during our two week trip. I would have been happy to enjoy Irish stew or seafood. We are spoiled by better Mexican restaurants near home, but the staff here really tried to please everyone. I...was not a fan of the salsa choices but others seem to do OK with them. The food was served hot and quickly. Overall the experience was good.More
Lovely quirky little gem of a restaurant on the diamond in Donegal town. Lovely atmosphere, great food and spotless. Because it was a birthday treat they gave me a free drink and free desert which was totally unexpected. The waiter sang happy birthday. Highly recommended...and continued success to La Fiesta.More
