I can't praise this place highly enough. The food, service and ambience is the best I've ever encountered The staff are so pleasant and really attentive. Live traditional music can sometimes be enjoyed in the front bar while waiting to be seated. And there are always a few locals enjoying the craic for your entertainment while you are waiting!!

Friendly staff. Excellent ambiance. Consistently delicious food. That one of Ireland's finest pubs is next door is an added bonus.

Unfortunately the restaurant was booked out. It is very popular & definitely needs to be booked in advance. The tea rooms filled the spot. Tasty wholesome food.

I felt our meal was rushed. There were as many staff as there were diners. No one staff member was allocated to our table and so we were asked several times through each course if everything was ok. Which was very irritating when trying to eat. While looking at the dessert menu we were asked 3 times if we were... More

Went for steak night and both service and food were excellent. I'm latoste intolerant but was able to have a good variety and a dessert! Will definitely be back hopefully over Christmas.

Have been going to Donegal for decades and call into the Glen for years. The restaurant has always served good food but in the last few years the standard has improved even more. There's a good wine list and whilst it's not cheap for Donegal it's good value for what you get. The bar hasn't lost its character and they've... More

This place was highly recommended as a good place to eat especially for the seafood. It's about a 10 minute drive from Downings on narrow little roads. Unfortunately it was booked out when we got there ( a Saturday in November). It looked cosy and quaint so a pity we couldn't sample their food. Would none the less recommend it... More
