Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arrived about 10.15 on a Sunday morning. The place was already almost full with a great bustling atmosphere. However, the friendly staff member soon found us a table and in no time, we were seated and perusing the extensive breakfast menu.
I thought that as the place was so busy, we might have a long wait for our food. However this was not the case - our huge breakfasts arrived quickly and looked and tasted amazing. I opted for the Sonny Corleone and my daughter went for the Tommy DeVito.
The bill came to less than 30 euros, which is not back for 2 large breakfasts with toast, soda bread, jam/marmalade plus tea/coffee. It certainly set us up for the rest of the day!
TIP - if you don't want to wait for a table, go early. When we left at around 11.15, the queue stretched about 20 yards down the street. A testament to how popular this place is.

Tony's Bistro on North Main Street is an absolute gem! My partner and I had our first dining experience there today, and it was nothing short of amazing. We both ordered the Frank Costello, and within just 5 minutes, our fresh and delicious meal arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the whole dining experience, from ordering to eating to paying, took just under 30 minutes. The food was reasonably priced and absolutely divine – it truly deserves a chef's kiss! We'll definitely be returning and giving it a solid 5-star rating!

I've been a customer of this bistro for a lifetime. It is a family run business for all of that time. The importance of providing the full package was passed down through the years. Food Quality and temprature, Cleanliness, Price, Customer Service, Friendliness and warmth. I have eaten a variation of the Provided meals on the menu and enjoyed every visit without exception.Anyone visiting Cork should continue to make it the number one choice, as thousand of local Cork and International diners have done. Tony's Bistro Breakfast on the North Main Street in Cork and Lennoxs fish and chips on Bandon Road are Iconic as can be seen if you scroll through the reviews. Thank you to the staff for your dedication and hard work.

Huge portions, great friendly service, fresh tasty food, great coffee and tea but hold off serving or ask customers to they want beverages with meal. We had pancakes, salmon and poached egg with hollandaise which was very light.
Male portions I’d reckon.. Would definitely recommend but go in hungry.

Overrated and overpriced, very greasy left feeling sick and bloated. Overcooked scrambled eggs were cooked in a microwave and I don’t know what he thinks sautéd mushrooms are but it wasn’t what i got, just looked like they were dipped in a deep fryer for 10 seconds.. Half a plate of beans, extremely oily egg, burned black pudding and sausages wouldn’t fill a child. How this place has such a high rating is beyond me. Only plus side was we didn’t have to pay for all of it!! Never ever again.

I was recommended to call here for an all day breakfast. I was surprised to find an attractive premises with soft music, an extensive menu and really nice staff.
Breakfast was served fast on a heated plate making it a enjoyable experience. Soda bread and toast with a really nice MUG of coffee, I love mugs. Business was brisk and I really enjoyed the experience. Will definitely be back

The Best Breakfast in Ireland. My favourite spot in all of Cork.
The portion size is the biggest I’ve ever come across making it incredible value for money. For a place that is always deservedly busy you never feel rushed by the staff.

We went here to try the Irish breakfast and what can I say... We got the medium portion and it was huge!
All delicious and accompanied by toasted bread, soda bread (really great for making beans) and a typical coffee or tea.
The service was fast and impeccable, everyone was very friendly.

Great friendly welcome and atmosphere. We had breakfast and the menu choice is extensive, so much so my wife could not decide between two dishes. Whilst she opted for one, the owner also brought her a sample dish of the one she’d not chosen as a surprise. Fantastic customer service!
Overall we really enjoyed our breakfasts and will visit again if we go back to Cork.

I stopped in Cork briefly on my way to Old Head golf course and had zero expectations. Everyone was attentive and friendly, but the food was incredibly good. I stayed in Ireland for 4 days and ate at some of the “best” restaurants in the area. Tony’s breakfast was the best meal I had and I know it was just breakfast, but everything on the plate was phenomenal. Must try if you’re heading to Kinsale after an overnight flight. Don’t judge a book by its cover…

The reviews were too good to give Tony's a miss, so my son and I decided to try for ourselves. The place was packed (at 10:30 am!), which for us was already a good sign. This was confirmed when we got a table and could savour a very hearty Irish breakfast. We did not go full monty with our selection, and that was wise, because even a selection in the 12-13€ range kept us going for the whole day.
In addition, the staff is very helpful and the service is quick.

We visited Tony's whilst on a trip to Cork, which was part of our tour of Ireland.
I'd found it whilst searching for 'breakfast in Cork' and it certainly didn't dissapoint us.
There was a good choice of breakfasts and a gluten free one for me. We had a pot of tea and the waitress topped this up for us when empty.
The food tasted very good and was very good value for money.
There is the godfather breakfast for anyone who likes a challenge.

Woke up craving pancakes and walked the whole of cork city looking for it. Found Tony’s bistro and boy was I glad they had pancakes. It was delicious and because I was really craving it, I’d give them a 5-star

I wouldn't bother going here, breakfast was poor, coffee luke warm and a guy hoovering carpet as we were eating. Thick dust on lampshades and cobwebs everywhere in the eating area...lord knows what the kitchen looks like. This place needs a good bloody clean. Fake ivory in crevices probably covering up giant spider hideaway areas. We paid and left without complaining like typical British morons 🙄
