Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great casual place to go, although we were a little confused trying to find it (you have to go through the Franciscan Well bar, and the signage didn't make that super clear). Good pizza, and it came out pretty fast, and they had plenty of...vegetarian options. They ran out of dessert pizza really early in the night which was a bummer, because they looked pretty good, so if you think you'll want one you might aim to go early in the night (I tried to order one at about 1830 or so). Just be aware that because it's a patio they do allow smoking.More

We had takeaway pizzas on our first night in Cork after a very early start. Not expensive, ready in just a few minutes, and really tasty authentic wood-fired pizzas. Highly recommend

Enjoyed this wood fired pizza spot in Cork on our 1 night in town. The crust was crunchy yet also chewy and the pizza was cooked perfectly. Would defintiely eat here again. Outdoor seating is nice (and covered) and this place runs in conjunciton with...the neighboring Fransiscan brewery for the drinks/common area.More

Neapolitan pizza spot located outdoors in a pub. Came here on a Monday evening around 7pm and there was no line. There’s outdoor seating with heating and blankets as well as seating inside the pub. We got a margherita pizza and Nduja pizza along with...garlic bread to split. The garlic bread were essentially pizza crusts with a ton of garlic sauce on top, and are good for 2-3 people to share. The pizzas were a tad larger than personal size but were thin, so you could finish them if you were hungry. Credit cards accepted. You order and pay at the counter, and then you receive a buzzer. The employees were nice and there was a good amount of food for a reasonable price.More

Located in the back patio area of the Franciscan Well this place had great pizza. You have to walk through the Franciscan Well to get here. You order at the counter and they give you a pager to let you know to get your pizza...when it is ready. It was busy when we were there but the pizza still came out pretty quickly and was very tasty.More

I don't leave many bad or one star reviews, but every time with this place there collection system is terrible.... ordered once before and had an aloted time slot via their own website... Come to find out when arrive for collection it's not even open...or possible for collection as per them.... Then why is that time slot aloted.... Again this time around place an order (30- 45mins in advance) get response back your pizzas will be ready to collect at this time.... Arrive in and they not even started making them, two little kids in car busy Cork rush hour traffic and now have to wait another 15-30mins for them to just get started, while other in house orders well ahead now... so what's the point of have your online collection system when it never works! Another time ordered fennel sausage pizza and ofcourse they just use normal sausage...not a fennel in sight nor even the taste of fennel. I'm fed up with this man who runs this place and his awful collection serviceMore

We were over in Cork for IMART 2022. What a great city and fabulous hosts Sunday’s Well. Away the well! We REALLY needed authentic wood fired oven pizza. Our taxi driver did not know of Pizza Pompeii and (somewhat sceptically) delivered us to the address...on North Mall which is the address given on Google maps. Ah, he said, it’s in the Franciscan Well: that’s alright. Indeed it was. Friendly staff. Very helpful. I ordered the Ndujo (spicy Calabrian sausage) and my wife Pizza Bianca: potato and rosemary. The pizzas were soon ready, sign of a nicely hot oven. They had great char and tasted wonderful. We are in a warm covered “outside” area. I had to take my hoodie off and was able to rely on my T-shirt the temperature was so comfortable. A cheeky drink from the Franciscan Well bar was a welcome accompaniment. My wife had the stout (Shandon stout) and I had a hoppy Irish Pale Ale (Chieftain). Highly recommended. We revisited a couple of days later for a take out pizza to eat at the guest house: it was that goodMore

Great authentic Neopolitan pizza. I ordered the fennel sausage pizza however it was clearly just regular breakfast sausage, bit set off by false advertising with ingredients, but either way pizza was good. The atmosphere is lovely as well and must be a great place to...watch matches and enjoy few drinks and food.More

The pizza is great and authentic. I had pizza here few years ago but when other neapolitan pizzeria opened in Cork this became kind of second choice. I ordered then few weeks ago and I was very pleasently surprised! They improved a lot and the...pizza is much more authentic to the neapolitan style and the ingredients are very tasty and fresh. Today I ordered a marinara and it was like the marinara I can get in Napoli. Congrats to the pizzaiolo.More
