Dwyers Garden Café is a bright and soon to be busy day time restaurant. Located within Dwyers Electrical & Garden Centre, Forge Hill, Cork. Re-opening on July 5th under new management and a new lease of life! We will be providing an eye catching and mouthwatering new menu using the freshest of local ingredients. Serving breakfast, lunch and Sunday brunch. Open 7 days a week. We are a positive, motivated organisation with a strong belief in top class service, great food presented beautifully and a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff. We look forward to welcoming you! Our opening hours are from 8:30am - 4pm Monday - Saturday for breakfast & lunch. Sunday Brunch from 12pm - 4pm

I've been here on a number of occasions for breakfast to catch up wirh friends.
The place is always clean but the service is not the best. You can have your scone/breakfast eaten by the time they finally get around to delivering your coffee.
Food is average, nothing exceptional.

Excellent place for brunch. Love the set up and convenient location with parking. Food was good except you need to wait a while but that’s ok because you knew is freshly prepared.
Service wasn’t the best, hopefully the management can look into this.

We opted for takeaway to have in the office for colleagues mat leave send off. We phoned our order in and called to collect at ore arranged time. By far the nicest and freshest takeaway lunch we've had in a long time, staff couldn't have been nicer when we called to collect

Disappointed overall. Wanted to take my wife here for breakfast as I am into Dwyer's electrical quite often.
The place looks lovely.
My wife went for a mini breakfast which was pretty good. I went a little more adventurous with the Eggs Shakshuka ( eggs poached in a Moroccan spiced tomato based sauce) the eggs didn't cook so it was pretty inedible.
Never one to make a fuss I ate the toast with a few dips of the sauce.
Brought it back up and told a waitress about the raw egg to get a reply of "okay thanks"
Could do with better quality and service for the price they are charging.

Went to Dwyers garden cafe Saturday 23/July. Yes it was busy but the service and wait for food was absolutely shocking. We ordered a toasted special that was served on slice pan bread and it was not even toasted it should of been served on a fancy country white bread which it stated on the menu, I wanted to return it as I was disgusted with it but my husband wouldn’t let me. I got a bagel with cream cheese & bacon it was slopped together nothing else on the plate it was so soggy. Our coffees came more or less straightaway so by the time our food came out our coffee was gone. In total it was €22 which no way was it worth it. Plenty of staff in the kitchen, plenty of serving staff but no one to guide them from what I could see. I certainly wouldn’t be going back there for food. Just so unprofessionally run which it shouldn’t be because it’s a small menu that’s basic. I come from a food background and I would be tearing my hair out if I worked in those conditions on a busy day.

Thank you for coming in to the cafe and for your feedback.
We are so sorry your experience with us was less than expected.
Saturday the 23rd of July will go down in history for us as one of our busiest days yet. Needless to say we are beyond grateful that so many people choose to visit Dwyers Garden Cafe.
As you mention we have designed our menu and systems to ensure we are absolutely capable of handling busy footfall.
Unfortunately, on Saturday the volume of customers was unforeseen and created something of a perfect storm for us - we were training new holiday cover staff and also working out food supplies from new local suppliers, we actually ran out of our normal thick cut bread used in our toasties as the number of orders was higher than usual, hence a substituted bread was used for the toasted special.

I have previously loved the Ballycotton seafood chowder here but unfortunately today, not only had the price increased to €11.90 (!), there was a serious lack of fish and other ingredients. Very disappointing, especially at this price point, when really good chowder is available in restaurants at below €10. Food for thought .....

Popped in on a horrible stormy lunchtime in November, the rain was lashing down but Dwyers was bustling and full of people. Lunch was delicious - sandwiches on amazing handcut sourdough bread with tasty fillings. I would HIGHLY recommend it for breakfast, brunch or lunch

Got takeaway here for a group off us and was delicious, food was so fresh, plenty off it and absolutely delicious. We all got various sandwiches and each one off us enjoyed them. Staff are super friendly, great value for money and great choice off food. Highly recommend

Usually go for breakfast which is always excellent but was too late so we chose chowder and a couple of their delicious sandwiches.
The chowder was the nicest in years. So flavoursome and a very generous portion with lovely brown bread.
BLT was delicious as was the pulled pork sandwich.
No room for desert unfortunately.
Service is so good here. Refreshingly so.

Met friends for lunch. 4 people before us in queue, all ordering toasted specials and coffee...i ordered soup. I was over twenty minutes waiting for it. While waiting i was observing the kitchen staff. Very disorganized and not efficient, 3 just walking around doing nothing, one had very long hair tied back loosely, no one in kitchen wearing cap or hairnet, Asked waitress TWICE for coffee, she said she didn't speak English. Another worker was the same. At one stage there were more inside the counter than customers and they still couldn't get things right.
Definitely won't be returning. Pity would have been convenient for getting together

We visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. their toasted specials are the best. but really want to mention this - they got my husband's order wrong so not only did they change it in no time but also gave a free coffee. Really friendly staff. Will Definitely go back.

First time to eat here for breakfast! We ordered Avocado toast and Eggs benedict. It’s so delicious and well presented 😍 I like the ambiance and the staffs are friendly too. I can’t say anything negative! I’ll definitely be back again soon 👍

I was in a queue for 15min as nobody seemed to know what they were doing 2 or 3 staff behind till shouting back and fourth between chefs in kitchen and by the time I'd reached the till 12 01 the chef refused my breakfast order as it had gone 1min over even tho the woman right in front was able to order a breafast i have to say i was sickened at the small stout dirty faced chef inside kitchen shouting in threating manner at a young girl at till not caring at all about whole queue/restaurant witnessing his behaviour a disgusting looking little fat man was glad i didn't eat here afterwards when i seen him tbh...
