Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Tonight my friends & I ate at Gallaghers after a busy working day and the place was bustling with energy, the food was delicious and piping hot, but it was Eoin who made the night, he served us with a great attention to detail, even...with our fussy ways and all the time made it feel unrushed, friendly and completely relaxed. 10/10 to you Eoin and extra points for the Cocktail shaking!More

The employees were all great, they all seemed generally happy to be there and having fun at their jobs. Very cool atmosphere and they were very inviting and attentive as soon as I walked in…I just wasn’t impressed by the food unfortunately. The breading on...the fish of fish and chips was horrific, the fish was lost inside a huge blown up coating of breading. The courgette fries for my app and they were very good.More

Read about this gem on a travel site, and it did not disappoint! Maybe it was the crisp Irish air, maybe it was our darling French waitress, maybe it really was just that good. We had the fried zucchini, which was not greasy, American blech....This was light and bright and something to dream about. We also had Irish stew and beetroot risotto, both very good, but the stew took the prize.More

The welcome was warm, the food absolutely delicious. That, in itself, would make this a guaranteed recommendation. What made the evening special was the friendly but unobtrusive service - thank you Eoin. Special mention too goes to the bartender who was happy to make a...cocktail of my choice (not on the menu). We had a nice chat about which bourbon would make the Manhattan the way I like it. He certainly made a good one!More

Ah listen, never again, there was 2 of us, my downe syndrome son and myself. We only wanted a beer. When we walked in the door we were asked did we have a reservation? It was a Wednesday evening, there was no one there. I...politely said no, we didn't have a reservation. He looked at his ipad and eventually said we could sit "over there" actually, anywhere we wanted to. Then I went to the bar, there was 4 barmen. One of them took my order, as I said there was two of us, so the order was two drinks. A beer and a juice. Three times I had to repeat it to him. Then he left me there and started pulling beers for others. That was enough. I left. Never ever again will I go there, there are better bars in Mccurtain Street. I'll avoid this one, always.More

We came down to Cork for a few days break and to catch a concert. We were recommended Gallaghers so we give it a go. It has had to be our best choice EVER.... We dined here every night of our stay, the food was...absolutely stunning, a huge man hug to the head chef and his/her team you should be so proud of what comes out of your kitchen. The bar and waiting staff were friendly and inviting and on the ball an absolute credit to the management for running a well oiled machine. We are really looking forward to our next visit to Cork and making a bee line straight to you guys. Thank you so much for looking after us and making our first visit to Cork and Gallaghers a great and memorable experience.More

We were here Friday 10th. From the moment we arrived we were made feel welcome. This was our Third visit here. If we loved in Cork we would be eating here a lot more. We had the Pate to start, then the Beamish Pie and...Chicken burger followed by the Peanut Butter Parfait. Every plate was so good. D.J. who was looking after us was great. Had time for a quick chat and laugh, and everyone still be served with the highest of standards. Didn't get the managers name but he was great too. A credit to Gallagher's Pub and apart from the food being a great, the service would make you want to return. Another Great Experience, would definitely recommend here for food and drink. We look forward to seeing you again soon when we return to Cork.More
