Really used to love this place! Ordered this evening and although the delivery was on time unfortunately the food was really really awful. It has also gotten very expensive, which I certainly don't mind paying for good food but we ended up having to ordwr...order McDonald's afterwards because we couldn't finish the food and were starving! Hopefully things will change in the future and it will go back to being the place it was before!More

So I didn't visit personally (Thanks a lot covid, die in a fire, thanks) However I ordered through Just Eat. They were running a bit late (less than 10m) from JustEat's estimated delivery time. Sakura staff called me up and let me know. This fact...alone led me to writing this review about their service. Having ordered from them a few times before, through JustEat as well, I do want to mention that the food is all kinds of amazing. Craving sushi? The best in Cork. Craving Japanese style dishes? ... again, the best in Cork.More

used to live on St Patrick's Quay so I became a regular years ago; I've always enjoyed the sushi and ramen, and that they serve later than most restaurants. good for take away too

Have eaten here many times always very tasty. It's probably the nicest sushi place in town if you want to sit down and feel as though you're out for a meal as opposed to a quick bite.Very friendly staff also. Prices seem similar to any...other sushi place in townMore

Lovely japanese restaurant on Maccurtain Street, the ambience and the music was very relaxing and satisfying. When it comes to food after trying different varieties of sushi I can easily say sakura have unbelievable fresh and well rolled hosomaki and uramaki. As well wakame salad...and kimchi are very lovely. Unfortunately the Japanese plum wine wasn’t in stock tonight, I cannot recommended it enough because it accompanies good bit of dishes on the menu and giving it nice contrast. Will be back.More

I spent a few days in Cork for business and stopped by this restaurant for some quick dinner. The service was excellent, really lovely staff. I had the tofu steak and came back the following evening for some more. The place is small but relaxing...and after a stressful day the service, food and the place itself made me feel very relaxed and content.More

We went with my partner for late dinner while visiting cork this Friday, we was happy cos we got table after 10pm which we really appreciated. We quickly ordered our meals which include hosomaki and two ramens, sake and pint plus glass of vine. Here...I have to mention that two waitress was taking our order because from unknown for us reason first ladie left in the middle of us telling her what we want. We got our starter and sake and we consumed them quickly and with pleasure (they were salmon hosomaki, very nice) after this, third waitress came and asked would we like to get our mains we said we are ready and that we would like to get our additionally ordered drinks with it. After not long time we were served with our pint and vine (here I have to mention that unfortunately I've received red wine, but I was asking for white...I'm anyway pretty "elastic" and didn't make any trouble with this and enjoyed my glass of red). Then maybe after 5 min of waiting waitress came back and kindly said that they will gonna close soon and can we pay and gave us a bill!! We kindly explained that we are still waiting for our mains but we are ok with paying in advance if that's what they ask for. Certainly confused waitress went back to the kitchen and another one came back and said they are sorry and that our mains are on the way and can we pay if that's ok with us. We haven't seen a trouble with this and we paid with even extra tip before we received our food. Our mains arrived after over 5min and we started to consume them, happy to finally eat after long journey to cork. Unfortunately my order-chef special veggie dumplings ramen was without taste so I need to add some soya sauce for flavour and my partner did the same with his beef ramen. On top of that, when we haven't been even in the middle of our meal waitress came to rush us because they want to close , we said we will finish and leave. Waitress came 2 more times to rush us, and even wanted to take my plate while I was eating(my partner eat earielr than me, so his side was quickly cleaned), I had to ask her to give me a chance to finish my meal. We haven't been the only people in the place, there was also group of 4 people who was also treated in similar way, we all left place the same time. I don't feel pleasure with posting negative reviews but this visit was massive disappointment espevially because my partner had upset tummy today(day after our dinner) and he was sick for whole day which makes our journey back home very difficult, I hope it is not caused by uncooked beef, served in the rush and unprofessional way. I hope nobody will need to feel like us anymore in this lovely looking place.More
