We decided to go for lunch here , my 3 kids got the kids portion which they were happy with , but the portion size in the main course for adults was pathetic . But the biggest flaw of all was none of the waiting...staff were wearing gloves for hygiene reasons and the person on the till was handing out the cutlery that wasnt wrapped and she had no gloves also , so her hands that were not protected were touching the cutlery we were using , I found this both surprising and very unhygienic considering the times we are in . It's the only place where I have eating where the cutlery is not wrapped for hygiene . So in closing I was very disappointed in the restaurant that I had heard so much about .More

Went for breakfast with friends, had to go look for and find high chairs bring them in to restaurant are whilst holding babies. They messed up our order, i recieved a bowl of scrambled egg instead of a mini with scrambled egg and for a...bowl of scrambled egg it was 7.50!? When I asked for assistance in the mistaken order I was told by a member of staff "well what am I going to do with the egg it's no good to me?!!" Then threw the bowl onto a tray. Told me I ordered scrambled egg when I said I didn't. Then thankfully another lady came and helped and all of a sudden the lady with an awful attiude was some what more polite. Very upsetting and disrespectful. Breakfast was cold, service at the table was rude. I understand possibly the lady on the floor was busy but there was no need to be treated like that.. I honestly hate to leave a bad review but i felt compelled as i left so so upset and felt so uncomfortable there. Never again....More

First sit down breakfast since lockdown! Cafe has expanded out under the glass roof of the garden centre to maintain social distancing. Glad to see the place reopen in these uncertain times...food and service still very good and great value.

We had Sunday lunch here after mass, sometime back in July 2018 and it was really amazing. As we were a large group, the restaurant had no issues with us making a reservation in advance. There was a really nice layout of savoury tarts and...quiches, My wife was able to get a delicious vegan dish. There was also an assortment of homemade desserts. After our meal, we browsed the garden center and our daughter was intrigued with the mini fairy forest! There were lots of souvenirs and outdoor ornaments! Some slightly humorous outdoor signs.More

Absolutely love this place. It is not just a great place to come and have a relaxed cup of coffee but also gives a wide variety of healthy breakfast (great value for money), lunch and deliciously home-baked cakes. Everything is made fresh and all of...the staff are so lovely and welcoming. I particularly enjoy coming here since having kids, as the playground outside provides my kids with hours of playing while in a safe environment and I can sit right next to it and enjoy my coffee. A great place to visit, can only recommend.More

My family and I had a wonderful experience celebrating a graduation. We enjoyed delicious sandwiches and cakes and our tea and coffee cups were never empty. The restaurants atmosphere was relaxed and our waitresses Mary, Helen and Maeve were attentive, helpful and couldn’t do enough...for us. Margaret, the owner, made it her business to welcome us personally which was a lovely. Would definitely recommend Griffins for all events!More

Lovely restaurant in beautiful surrounds. The staff are very well informed of the requirements for a coeliac diet. They were able to easily adapt the salad of the day to be suitable for a coeliac. It was a lovely chilli chicken salad which was delicious....For dessert, there was a lovely lemon cake which was full of citrus with a lovely lemon icing. The gluten free cakes are cleary marked with a green gluten free flag and kept in a seperate section from the regular cakes.More

Just wanted to compliment Griffin's, and thank the hard working, welcoming staff for feeding nine adults, four children and an infant this morning, and making it look effortless. Food as always was amazing, can't wait for the next family birthday breakfast. ( The birthday cake...we had pre ordered is nothing short of divine)More

We had a good lunch here. There are plenty of options on the food and drinks. You queue at the counter to order and they bring the food to the table. You can pre book tables here. Sandwiches and paninis were great and they had...some lovely salads. They listened to food allergies and were careful with the order. We were at the table for a long time after we finished food as we were chatting but they were in no hurry to move us off the table. The garden centre is well stocked with plants and gifts.More
