The reputation precedes Fish's Wife when we talk about to get fish and chips in Cork, but I have to say even their Burger is the same level. Not ideal for sit in obviously, but just to grab and have substancial take a way meal is perfect. Recently opened on Gran Parade another one, Just hope to meet this standards... More

Class fish and chip emporium. They even deliver across the road to the Shelbourne pub where you can eat at their outside tables so long as you buy a drink. How cool is that !.

Delicious food--huge portions!!! We could have split one portion between the two of us--but definitely fresh and yummy. One downside: they only accept cash.

Yeah, what was that thing called? It was delicious. Honestly, to me fish tastes like fish, but: the sauce they used on this chicken thing. There was pita on it.... try it! Oh, and the staff is, ummm, I guess it's a pun: salt of the earth. Never received anything but sincere kindness and cheerful eyes.

Can't praise the food enough. This is not an average chip shop - the food is delicious, fresh cooked, tasty and reasonably priced. They will also deliver your order to the pub across the road! There is limited,so be prepared to eat it elsewhere but it is excellent value for money.

This is a very nice takeaway. It only serves fresh fish. The quality is very good and it is probably the best takeaway in Cork.

This is where to go if you like your fish crispy and light and hand cut chips. Prices are just right and also a few tables to eat it hot and fresh.

We ordered two hake and chips after the great rugby Irish win over New Zealand in Chicago.Well run small chipper. Staff prompt and polite.Food tasted excellent except for mushy peas.I recommend mashed (frozen) peas with fresh mint.Price €8 each - good value. We are locals and will return.

Great food for a great price, if you're a student! Even better food for a still good price for non-students, too! We went here twice during our stay in Cork! Would def recommend 10/10!

Thank Casey H

The Fish Wife is a new Take away on the Cork scene. the Fish Wife prides itself on quality locally sourced fresh food. Burgers are produced daily by the local butcher. Chips are cut daily in the shop and fish are sourced locally. Specials vary depending on availabilty. Shop is charming, quirky and homely. Small but cute!!
