Our visit to La Dolce Vita last night for my sister's birthday was replete with the raucous chaos and disorganisation that Fellini himself would have been proud of. My wife and I love Italian dining and are generally easily pleased, so long as the basics are right. We were looking forward to trying this restaurant for the first time but... More

My partner and I dined here and from start to finish the food was amazing as was the price. Very good value for 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 dessert, 1 bottle of prosecco, 2 large prosecco based cocktails and a large bottle of sparkling water €91. The service was prompt and professional the food flavours really tasty. Will definitely be... More

We have gone here a few times and we have thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. It is very reasonably priced and the food is fresh and of high quality. The kids meals are particularly good value. A guy plays the piano some nights and this adds to the atmosphere, very relaxed and casual. Staff are nice and service is good.... More

First time going to La Dolce Vita and I have to say, I was impressed. We had our starters very quickly, I would recommend the crostini. Not sure what type the complimentary bread given at the start is, but it was absolutely savage. For a main I had the sausage and mushroom calzoni. Unreal...one of the nicest pizzas I've ever... I have visited la dolce vita many times before, and always enjoyed my food there but this weekend I was very disappointed. Portions were very small, the fritto Misto was by far my favourite starter but now it is definitely not for two people and not worth €18. The pizza portion was also extremely small and extremely salty and we... More

Description
Real Italian food at La Dolce VitaAuthor: Louise CashellCork recently welcomed a brand new Italian restaurant, La Dolce Vita, located on Proby's Quay. Although the business is only in its starting stages, La Dolce Vita, is quickly gathering a reputation for its 'real Italian food'.Some of this noteworthy food includes the pizzas, which are cooked on a brick oven, the only one of its kind in Cork. At La Dolce Vita, only the best and freshest ingredients are used and all pasta is made on site at the restaurant. The restaurant can cater for large bookings and would be an ideal venue for office Christmas parties. The romantic and friendly atmosphere only adds to the rustic, Italian vibe of La Dolce Vita who offer a variety of excellent Sicilian wines to accompany the wonderful dishes that are prepared by Sicilian chef Paolo Perrone.
