The Briar Rose is under new management recently so the girls decided to visit it last Thursday. It is beautifully decorated and partly refurbished. The menu is also changed. Had a staff party here a few years ago with bbq and drinks. nice location close to town,loads of room to sit down inside or outside. food was lovely but i would presume outsourced at the time. friendly staff. no complaints.

Was there today for lunch some staff nice, Got seated quick. We had to ask for menu .The chef was helping cleaning tables thought this was wrong .Then got our food it was cold and tasted strange. My Husband and I went for lunch recently to the Briar Rose. It was very busy. The staff were nice and helpful.We both had soup and sandwiches. The soup was delicious and tasty.The sandwiches were extremly fresh and tasty. We enjoyed our visit and hope to go back again soon.

Was in Douglas on business and decided to pop into The Briar Rose for a late lunch before heading back to the city. I had the pleasure of having Prawns Pil Pil. It was to have cooked in a garlic chilli oil but I asked if I could have them cooked in ordinary olive oil and they kindly obliged. It was delicious and accompanied by a modestly priced Pinot Noir. Thank you Briar Rose.

Dined here last Sunday with some friends. Bar busy due to sport on the TV. Very basic menu of "roast of the day" type dishes.
