One of the best restaurants in Cork without a doubt. Amazing interesting seasonal menu all cooked to perfection. The service is impeccable and friendly.

We dined in Goldie twice in September and we were so impressed with it. it is small and intimate with a very unique vibe. a young, dynamic team headed by Head Chef and Proprietor Aishling give the place a nice busy feel. The food which...is all freshly cooked in front of you was amazing, a lot of seafood, would describe it as “tapas style”. the service was top class and very personal. would highly recommend it.More

We enjoyed a lovely welcome from Kelly and a great introduction from Allen with everything that we needed to know. The food was perfect, the ingredients were made up of fresh local produce with a chance for us to experience new flavours. The small plates...before starters were a nice touch to settle into the lively upbeat atmosphere. I particularly enjoyed the view of the kitchen which showed a tight knit team working seamlessly and respectfully together during a busy evening shift. I would recommend anyone to try Goldie, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, great food and staff proud of what they have to offer, we will definitely be back. Thank you for a great evening guys, looking forward to our next visit.More

Wonderful restaurant. Tremendous food. Great atmosphere and fabulous staff. Need I say more?? Well the fish was supreme and the cauliflower side order to die for. We will be back. JM Dubin

We enjoyed our second visit to Goldie. Friendly and welcoming staff. Background music was a little loud. Shared the fried fish small plate which was lovely. Monkfish for main course beautifully presented- portion of fish a little on the small side but with side dishes...we had plenty to eat. We will be back.More

Mediocrity was the flavour of the evening. Over zealous staff, tone it down a touch! Appreciated the opportunity to sample wine before choosing - thank you Seasoning was nowhere close to being accurate. Mussels were bland and at 9 quid a pop, not worth it....A fistful of mussels at best. Pannisse (spelt incorrectly on the menu) were well made, again seasoning let it down. Fish spines although clever we’re not balanced, someone got into the Asian umami cupboard and left it at that. Monk cheeks with gherkin ketchup were quite good. Brandade was an insult to the traditional dish. A very wet dark beige slop garnished with pickles and crackers.. I completely understand and respect an individual’s interpretation to réchauffé a classic, if this wasn’t the case food would become boring and predictable, this dish was trying far too hard to be something it wasn’t. The mushy pea fritter- I was genuinely excited for.. a raw flour taste of either corn flour or gram flour were to be found, the elusive seasoning once again not present. Main courses, the fish was well cooked, chicken butter sauce was a rather drab attempt at a sauce that should knock your socks off. Side dishes of carrots - which were good and the colcannon - excellent flavours but actually over seasoned. Desserts we tried all three- the posset being our favourite. The pannacotta had a very unique flavour- not a pleasant one. Subjective criticism perhaps ! I felt like I was in Palomar when I walked in the door- a cult classic London restaurant, I was overwrought in the hope it may live up to it. I watched the kitchen team cook, they were not tasting there food - what was then delivered on the plate was humdrum, not at all special.More

Really enjoyed our meal at Goldies. Interesting menu including South Indian influences and delicious locally sourced food. Tamil Nadu pea fritter was a favourite. Emer and Alan in particular provided great service! We will be back :)
