We attended at 5pm on a night showing the World Cup, as it’s a sports bar pretending to be a traditional pub. The footie was on in all rooms, which was great. We ordered the beer battered fish, and Guinness and beef pie. Unfortunately, this was not great pub grub. The fish batter was soggy, the chips were from a bag of frozen chips and not homemade, and the pastry on the pie was limp, cold and damp. It wasn’t busy in the pub, and a little more care should have been taken making the food right. Would I go back? Probably not...

Great local spot for tasty pub grub.
Went twice the same weekend as the food was such good value and we felt like the staff were really friendly and locals eat here too so a good spot!
Very good value for money and definitely a place that will outlast some of the more expensive restaurants in kinsale and the areas.

I came here with my friends a few weeks ago. The food was nice, i recommend the cod with chips and peas. The desert was sub-par, did not taste home made. Our server Enda was a delight and definitely improved our experience here.

My recent visit to Hurley's Bar left me with mixed feelings. While the food was undeniably good, the overall experience was marred by an unwelcoming atmosphere.
Upon arriving, my family and I were excited to try the menu and enjoy a meal together. However, when we requested to split the bill, we were met with disdain from the staff. A lady serving us called us awkward for simply wanting to divide the bill, and the patrons at the bar didn't hesitate to make their displeasure known. They huffed, puffed, and exchanged eye rolls, making us feel rushed and unwelcome. This was a man wearing glasses in his 50s, a young girl with dark hair and a middle aged lady with short blonde hair. Their attitude was terrible, hostile and uncalled for.
Despite the delicious food, the hostile environment overshadowed our dining experience. Feeling unwelcome in a place we had hoped to enjoy our meal was disappointing. Hospitality is about more than just the quality of the food; it's about creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. Unfortunately, our experience fell short in this regard. We hope that the management addresses these issues to ensure a more pleasant dining experience for future guests.

We called here today to eat on our way home from Garretstown beach. The guy seating people was unwelcoming bordering on rude. We showed our Covid certs and were given the table directly inside the door. We were about to sit down when we heard him being short/rude to a customer who was trying to pay and we just left. I would prefer to spend my money somewhere that provides customer service and has some manners!

Called today for a spot of dinner after a walk on the local beach.
Lovely warm clean place. Friendly staff served us with a smile and the food was exceptional. Will be calling back again. 10 out of 10.

Decent food in nice authentic rural bar. We are here a couple of times on a family holiday. The food was good for the price. Service was friendly and efficient. Would recommend for informal family meal.

Reasonably priced good food. The steak was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone. Chicken goujons were also good. Family restaurant very kid friendly.

Lovely bar, very spacious. We had food which I thought was very bland they forgot half people on our table which was disappointing

Lovely family meal
- staff were so friendly and a wonderful Gluten free list of menu options - had the chicken curry and was gorgeous - also saw they had Gluten free beer available - would def recommend 👍

Nice simple pub food. Fish pie was very good and the stir-fry was also very good. Nice pints of Heineken 00 on tap. Friendly servers. All in all a good experience.

This is a nice local pub.. walked in for a pint and some food. Lovely beef roast and a pint of Murphy’s stout.. absolutely delicious and delightful!
