We celebrated a friends birthday in 14a last night. The staff were brilliant and so friendly. They were very accommodating, facilitating us changing our booking last minute as one of our party were running late. The food was excellent, we had the steak, the fish...and chips and he dirty burger and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back!More

We had a great lunch here for the whole family but we won't be able to go there again as the manager said my autistic 11 year old daughter must wear a mask the next time. He said he would 'let us in for just...this time'. It's his decision, i know, but it's not an option for her so we won't be able to return until these restrictions are lifted. He spoke to us like he was doing us a favour! He showed zero understanding for parents with children.More

Had breakfast here. Food was reasonable enough. My difficulty here was the poor customer service. The atmosphere was poor and the music was blaring making conversations impossible. I found the waiter to be loud and offensive in his abrupt and arrogant manner. His personalnality was...overpowering and certainly not welcomeingMore

My boyfriend and i stopped here for lunch sunday while in town. We got a table without issue and covid guidelines were being followed. Our food was nice only to be let down by our interaction with our waitress who seemed to have a problem....Everyone has a bad day but this girls attitude ruined a nice atmosphere for us. Not sure if we will eat here again.More

We have been coming to 14a for breakfast for years now. So much so that the staff know us by name. We paid for our breakfast as always and recieved 2 20 euro notes in change. Upon leaving and using the notes to pay elsewhere...we were told the notes were fake. Upon returning to said restraunt, we were just told it wasnt them. Abolsutely no intent to investigate the situation any further. Needless to say, we will take our business elsewhere from now on. We understand that it is not necessarily the staffs problem but considering how much we frequent this place we expected a little more empathy. At the very least for future customers it would be great for them to check the notes in future so no one else ends up having the same issue. It's a huge shame because the food is great.More

We understand that it is very upsetting to receive a forged note and we are sorry that you experienced this, we can also assure you that you did not receive it from Restaurant 14A. When you brought this issue to the attention of our staff...More

From looking at the menu there is a wide range of meals and it looks promising but the food does not meet the expectations. We were seated and had to wait 20 mins to place an order, calling the waiter over ourselves. The coffee served...was in a flat-white sized cup and came out cold. From the meal, two of the toasties came out on bread and weren’t toasted and the chips were cold. The tea provided was clear and when we asked for another tea bag they told us we would be charged or another cup of tea, despite us reiterating how weak the tea was. No waiters came to check how the food was or for the bill we again had to approach them. The food wasn’t great and multiple dishes amongst the group came cold and were not what was expected. This was a brunch meal. I would not recommend this place to anybody looking for an enjoyable meal despite the large variety available on the menu.More

I ordered the pulled pork burger, it was full of fat, a bit of raw onion, tomato and bun. My husband ordered the beef burger which was dry and tasteless. Kids food was only alright. Service was good.

Went here for lunch. Orderd a burger and chips. Chips were cremated and inedible. When I went to pay asked how everything was and told waiter about the bowl of chips I left. Asked would I like a different bowl. Which I declined as I...was leaving. Still charged for a bowl of chips i couldn't eat.More

Had a reservation this morning for breakfast and we were greeted by Fran with such a friendly welcome. We hadn’t been there for awhile due to Covid and after driving down from Limerick we were hungry but were definitely not hungry leaving with the amazing...breakfast we got. Fran is just so chatty and welcoming and he really makes you feel at home. Can’t wait to return!More
