Unlike many of the other youths that were present when I hit this happening joint one Saturday night in Autumn, I actually lived during the period known as the 50s and pardon my French but it was flipping great back then. Back then I'd be...courting lotsa chicks and we'd go into places like Philly's and Gino's and we'd put a little bit of The Penguins on the jukebox and boogie all afternoon. Now everyone is too busy on their portable phones and listening to dance music made by hooligans, their minds scuppered by pornographic television adverts. Well, I remember my old girl I used to go steady with name of Delores and me her used to have a whale of a time, going whale watching and going on trips to Wales etc. I never knew what happened to her. Anyway, long story short I'd pretty much forgotten about Delores and our teen romance until I stepped into Shake Dog. Committed to a walking stick for the last decade of my existence, it's not often I "hit the floor" (only when I lose my balance) but I couldn't help it! The smell of the upholstery and the whiff of the burgers and fries whisked me right back to my youth and before I knew it I was swingin'. I even saw Delores there in one of the booths and she hadn't changed a bit since we was seventeen! She pretended she didn't know me but I gave her my number anyway. Give me a call Delores whenever you get the time!More
Was here late last night with friends for the first time. The 10 euro deal sounded way to good to be true. BBQ chicken and bacon burger, onion rings and chips combo and Oreo cookie shake. So much food, great price, good quality, very tasty....Tough to finish but that’s a good thing. Shake is top. Looking forward to going back againMore
Shake Dogs food seems to be getting worse every time I visit. The last three times I went, I found FOUR hairs in my burgers. Not on it, but actually in the meat. Service is slow and staff are rude and do not care about...customers or their jobs. Its such a disappointment because the €10 deal is enticing and I love the retro 50s theme, but its not worth it and I will not be returning. The standard is simply too low.More
