The Cornstore Restaurant Cork is situated in the heart of Cork City, on Cornmarket Street. As one of Cork's best restaurants, we offer a casual, warm and lively dining experience in a Manhattan style setting, complete with a unique wine and cocktail bar. Specialising in seafood and steak, the ethos of our restaurant works on the philosophy of "quality food sourced locally". We source ingredients for all our dishes from local suppliers where possible. Organic, free range and artisan producers are reviewed on a regular basis, with our own chefs inspecting off-site premises to find the very best ingredients. Executive Chef Mike Ryan with Head Chef John O'Connell focuses on local and seasonal produce…
We had a long overdue night out in the Cornstore last night with our great friends. Everything was superb, the atmosphere, the food and the service. Special mention to Gemma who mainly looked after us. Cannot wait to go back soon. Great selection of food...and drinks to suit every taste and the €35 set menu is fantastic value.More

Booked a table for two on a Saturday night. Venue and atmosphere was great; vibrant music, clean and busy.
However a few things which was a little frustrating
1. Cocktails arrived after our starters and although in advance
2. Starter dishes were a little two...big
3. No wine pairing recommendations / advice
4. Table service were a little inexperienced and didn’t appear to have a lot of knowledge of the menuMore
Without a doubt the best restaurant in Cork city. We booked this restaurant yesterday for Sunday lunch. On arrival we were greeted by Richard who is one of the most professional front of house people in the business. We were quickly seated and the service...from Gemma & Raji was exceptional. The whole experience from the ambience of the restaurant, the professionalism, the dishes and attentiveness of the staff was amazing. Richard and the team in Cornstore, Cork are producing the most amazing food Cork has to offer, an absolute pleasure to have dined there.More
Never disappointed in Cornstore. Always a warm welcome. Our server Yatharth was brilliant and knows his stuff about wine, food and cocktails. The food is always top tier and the atmosphere is great! Can’t wait for my next visit already!
From the moment we arrived until we left the staff and atmosphere at this beautiful restaurant were first class. We were greeted and had our Covid certs checked and were then brought to a lovely corner booth. The food was delicious- the braised beef which...I had was melt in the mouth yummy. I would strongly recommend this restaurant and look forward to a return visit in the near future.More
All staff were fantastic from the guy that met us and checked our vaccine certs to the floor staff. Helpful polite and professional. It was our first family meal out since the pandemic and it was worth waiting for. Kids loved the food and the...experience. Would highly recommend going there. We all had sirloin and it was perfectly cooked.More
I was advised by a friend to be sure to pop into cornstore once covid eased off as both the food & service was to die for.
With the my mothers birthday coming up, i decided to book the cornstore and by god we weren't...let down. From start to finish it was an amazing experience, the way in which we were greeted at the door, escorted to our table, the service was incredible - i didn't catch the servers name but he was immense. There wasn't an empty drink on the table for longer than 5 seconds before another drink was popped down in front of us.
the food here is to die for - due to the size of the party there was a number of vegans who couldn't get over how delicious their meals were. if you haven't been to cornstore, you're missing out! the best restaurant in cork, with great prices too.
cannot wait to return again very very soon!More
In being so rigid with the time slots and the constant reminders we had to eat quickly and leave after 1 hrs 40 minutes it ended up being a disappointment.
Firstly, yes we arrived late 10 minutes but meand my friend are quick eaters and...in general didn't have a problem leaving at ten to seven when told to which was no issue to us.
However upon seating us the waitress rudely told us we were very late and that we must leave at ten to seven. Fine no problem except thr tone she used during starter and main course she reminded us again we had to leave at ten to seven.the forth time was enough, at 25 to 7 while handing us our desserts she pressed us about time again before we even took our first bite of dessert. She was rude to us. My friendpointed out we still had fifteen minutes until we had to finish which the waitress asked us would we like to take away our food in a box despite it only being twenty five to seven. Now listen, I'm all about sticking to rules and abiding by time slots but ideas the constant reminders and tone that was so off-putting. They couldn't have thrown us out quicker.nits a pity the food was good but the service was absolutely shocking the worst I've experienced so far. 2 reminders were enough. Felt like giving out but didn't want a confrontation. Felt like we had done something wrong and it wasn't a nice experience. However my friend and I had a nice catch up. Management, you might give leeway a bit and not have your staff hounding the customers who want a relaxing night out. It would have been four stars except for the constant urgency for us to leave.More
