A well located coffee shop/restaurant located close to the city center - A full Irish breakfast served all day, until midnight. We have also a large range of sandwiches, home made pastry, lunches and dinners with Irish, Polish and French dishes/recipes. We also have a large selection of all beverages including tea, coffee, cold drinks, hot chocolate and many more. The only coffee shop/restaurant open till midnight in the city, customers are always welcome.

Cafe Spresso is very easy to pass by without being aware of just how good the food and service is. Outside looks like most other cafes, humble even, and the menu is different as it has standard entries and entries that look Polish, Hungarian and Italian. While the menu has a bit of everything, I opted for Polish pierogi. They were outstanding, especially when compared with pierogi from Poland including restaurants and family recipes. Of course Tomasz's pierogi are also homemade! I also had dessert which did not disappoint. Tomasz was very friendly and we had a great chat about food, film and other things. Given the price, fFor the quality of the food, I find it hard to believe Tomasz is making much of a profit - this is a family vocation. This is one of the few places I've been that just exceptionally good value and that's a rare thing to be able to say in Ireland, especially a city. Next time we're in Cork, this will be our first and possibly only stop for food!

I both enjoy and eat a lot of food but I'm often disappointed when eating out for either the high prices or the lack of tasty food, and more times than I wish for both are true.
Here however, at Cafe Spresso the food was amazing and the same low prices are only otherwise seen at Ikea (but that's the only thing to compare the two).
I had the full Irish breakfast that was perfect, a large portion with every component with great flavour two beautiful eggs, two pieces of toast, mushrooms, black and white pudding, tomatoes, beans, two sausages and rashers. Just €8.60!! (if I remember correctly, definitely under €9) which is insane for the amount of good food you get.
So, if you're like me and eat more food than most people you don't have to think twice about ordering another menu item because you're still way below what you normally would pay for the same food in another place. So I had the toast rolls too which was also amazing, but I will say it was a lot of food. It was only €5.70 so I assumed it was a smaller side dish to complement nicely but it was a full meal, and when I go there again I will not do both of them even though I would want too ;)
Don't hesitate to go there, it's not at all you average setting that you get at chains or bigger restaurants and cafe's it's much more of a simple homely atmosphere. You will not be disappointed, Eric guaranteed ;)
To note, they have outdoor seating with rain protection so works great now in Covid-times too!

From the moment I entered Spresso, I felt welcome and at home. It was 3 pm on a Tuesday, I was starving, and had read great things about this place. I was greeted by a friendly man behind the counter, who happily agreed to prepare me a Large Irish, replacing the toast for a bagel at no extra cost. And man was I blown away by the meal. Just delicious! And the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and just lovely. The only thing that was missing was either a wheelchair or cot at the end of my meal - that Large Irish will fill ya up fast, and if you're expecting to do active sightseeing after, you've been warned! :)

I stopped off at Cafe Espresso recently and was pleasantly impressed by the food presentation and overall energetic ambience of the cafe.
I sat out in the smoking area, (which was pretty cold by the way) and was served a Cappuccino by a very charming young man who kindly procured me a lighter to light my ciggie. Unfortunately my Cappuccino was tepid,lacking in taste and for a princely sum of 3 Euro not worth even hal the money.In hindsight I should have sent it back but was in a bit of a hurry and left it behind after one sip.
If a restaurant is going to name itself after such an iconic beverage it should make sure it's coffee is beyond reproach.I wouldn't go back there as I now expect a poor coffee which is a shame as the Cafe did tick a lot of other boxes for me.It might have been just an off day at Cafe Espresso but I suppose I will never know.

The food here is very good. I had the student’s breakfast, and every part of it was delicious. Best of all, the food here is affordable, and you get a decent amount of food while not spending too much money. I will definitely be back for more!
A few notes:
1. You pay at the counter after you have finished eating (I was a bit confused by this at first)
2. There’s limited indoor seating (it’s a physically small space) so keep that in mind if you’ve got a larger party or if you don’t want to sit outside.

I recently visited Cafe Espresso in Cork City and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was incredibly tasty, with a great selection of Polish and Irish cuisine to choose from. The coffee was fantastic and definitely worth trying. The staff was incredibly friendly and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Thomas, the owner, is a character with an old-fashioned style that adds to the charm of the cafe. Located in the center of Cork City on McCurtain Street, Cafe Sspresso is a must-visit. They offer large portions of delicious Irish breakfasts, making it one of the best places to enjoy this traditional meal in town. I highly recommend Cafe Sspresso for anyone looking for a delicious meal, fantastic coffee, and a charming atmosphere.

Amazing place for breakfast. The nice lady is unbelievable multi-tasking, she cooks several different breakfast all by herself. Pancakes are delicious, not to mention the Irish breakfast. Least but not last, they have Pierogi, a polish food that you would never expect in Cork. Highly recommend!

I had Irish breakfast in a lot of places around Cork, but this one is definitely the best one! Also, the place has the charm of family owned business and the prices are decent! The staff is polite and all food is home made. Believe me, the bacon is so thick, it is not some cheap meat. Love it! And I will be back!

This is a great cafe. The menu list is huge - it’s chalked up on a number of boards behind the counter. I enjoyed the Irish breakfast so much I went back in the evening to have their dumplings with cabbage and mushrooms.
Prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly.

Visited this cafe from reading reviews as we really wanted a good Irish breakfast. It’s fair to say that this breakfast certainly did not disappoint. The lady behind the counter does everything herself and it tastes amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend visiting here if you’re in cork and fancy a good full Irish!! ☘️

First time eating here, I'm still eating the food but had to immediately say how happy I was with what I'm eating while I'm still eating.
The portion size for the full irish breakfast is incredible, thick cut rashers, a good dollop of mushrooms, two juicy sausages, two perfectly fried eggs, 3 big slices of fried tomatoes, and a cup of beans. I paid 11.40 for this and I really didn't expect to have such a filling and well made meal.
The staff inside are wonderful to speak with. This is probably the best breakfast I've ever had in all the years I've lived in Cork!

Cannot speak too highly. Nothing fancy but clean basic café with friendly service. 7 of us descend for Breakfast which half filled the place. But all cooked food done fresh and my poached eggs and bacon just marvellous. We all back next day and if I am ever back in Cork I’ll be here again.

Cafeteria style dishes with breakfasts from the grill. Reliable and tasty.
I had the student (eggs, hashbrown, bacon, sausage, beans) and partner had full Irish with tea. Service was fast and friendly.

Every time we visit cork we always pop in here for breakfast or lunch. Lovely place, cosy and friendly staff. Most importantly food is delicious! My favourite is the breakfast bagel with mushrooms, egg and bacon.

I was totally amazed by the range of food options and the unbelievable multitasking of the wonderful people catering for seven of us.
All the food and drinks were expertly made and absolutely delicious. We didn't hesitate to return for breakfast the following day.
