Comfortable restaurant
About
At The Square Table the goal is to serve good quality, uncomplicated food that is locally sourced and served in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Twin sisters, Martina and Tricia Cronin, choose their suppliers from among local, artisan, small businesses who are as passionate about food as they are. Inspired by watching their mother cook from an early age, these choices are very personal.

Short staycation in Blarney for a couple of days. We had our last meal of the holiday in this lovely restaurant. The food is simply outstanding. Best meal we’ve had in a very long time, and no doubt the best available in the village. Would...highly recommend. Shout out to Orla for service with a smile ❤️More

I love The Square Table, and can't recommend it enough. We booked the full restaurant for our wedding and had a fantastic day. We had a small family wedding (30 people) and all of our guests said how fab the food was. I'm vegetarian and...we also had a vegan and coeliac, and they were more than happy to tailor the menu. Tricia was brilliant to deal with from the beginning, and the whole team at the Square Table made our day so special!More

This wonderful restaurant made a wet staycation so much better . We had the pleasure of dining twice in this little gem. The food was absolute culinary art - I can still remember the taste of the passion fruit cheesecake! Tricia is a fantastic host...and her sister is obviously passionate about creating delicious fresh dishes. If you should ever find yourself in Blarney do not miss the opportunity to dine in this fabulous restaurantMore

A must visit, but why 4 stars I hear you ask, well opting for the rib-eye as the main. It was a good size, the veggies were cooked perfectly however the steak itself just seemed to lack the juiciness and flavour you come to expect...with that cut of beef. I have to say, I have had much better steaks for half the price, I just wonder if the "beef dripping" chips were partly the culprit if the meat juices were used for that (I have no idea btw), the sound of said chips made my mouth water but they were not quite as described, although still good. To really get "beef dripping" I wonder if you may consider resting the steak on top of these big chunky chips instead of the other way around. All that said, my taste buds may have been affected by the richness of the caramelised red onion atop the steak, which was very nice so bare that in mind. Now to the best bit of the meal, the charcuterie aka "meat platter" to the likes of me, was absolutely fabulous, my partner and I shared this, portion sizes were small little taster pieces of each item but they were soo soo tasty, on the board were new things we had not tried but each exquisite, perfect appetiser before a big meal. All in all, booking was easy, service was absolutely fab but quite pricey.More

We were Shocked at how excellent this wee gem in blarney is. From the starters to the mains to the deserts and wine it was 10/10 the whole Time. The two sisters who run this fabulous spot are so passionate about what they do and...to a customer who adores food, it’s a breath of fresh air. Will definitely return when we come back. 👌🏼More

We took our youngest there first when he was about 2. To be honest we used to limit our meals out in general then, to main course and desert.. As the window of opportunity to eat in peace was so limited. If you mean... More
