Being honest we are occasional diners at this restaurant as it's about 1hr from home but always worth the trip. From the many years we have been dining in this restaurant it has always been consistently good, something I am glad to see is being passed on through the generations. Excellent honest food sourced locally for many years even before it became fashionable to offer local produce. The menu is always interesting and varied. During our most recent visit we were seated in the bar close to the fire. Something we had never done before, preferring to eat in the restaurant. I must say we both enjoyed the bustling atmosphere of patrons enjoying their night out in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. On this particular visit we sampled the duck, steak and pheasant all cooked to perfection. I enjoy my food hot and was delighted to see that the plates at Blairs still come with a heat warning. Despite the rising cost of eating out this establishment offers really good affordable value. Another really enjoyable experience. Well done all at Blair's Inn.

Such a welcoming atmosphere - we are a family of 5 with an assistance dog and we were made to feel very welcome. Something for everyone on the menu - veggie for me which is great and decent portion sizes too. Love the open fire especially in the cold weather. There is also a playground about 5 mins drive which we went to to burn off all the calories. Hubby says it’s one of the best pints of Guinness he has had. Will be back!

Had a family meal last weekend for in Blair’s. Great welcome and service in a lovely homely premises. Wide food selection, all from reasonably local suppliers . We shared the seafood platter for starters and had steaks ,game and fish for main courses. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and the ambiance. I have being going to Blair’s for years and have never had other than excellent food and a friendly experience . Always.

Great menu, everyone was raving about their meals. Well done on including high quality, locally sourced ingredients. It was a real treat, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. At this stage, all that is allowed is outdoor dining, the space is ideal, plenty of distance, great atmosphere with the pizza oven going and speakers dotted around. The booking process was simple and the staff are all excellent, they even sang us happy birthday.

My niece took me here last night … I like olde style pubs and good grub, that style ambience is being lost everywhere. However. Whilst the food was at best pleasant,I was shocked after to discover they charged €33.50 for a duck dish - which comprised of a small, underwhelming leg and thigh. My niece had chicken. We only got one tiny bit of veggies (which I assume was for both of us) - there was one small bit broccoli, and literally a tablespoon of carrot/parsnip. One small serving of roast potatoes, which were lovely. I think there were four pieces of spud. Between us. Maybe they forgot to bring out my serving, I don’t know and I didn’t bother to ask. It’s my fault for not checking the price, but that duck was 100% not worth €33.50. At best, €22.50 would have been more than sufficient. I understand costs are rising but good food for reasonable prices are still expected. We had: 1 duck, 1 chicken. One coke. One soda water. One coffee. One latte. One bread and butter pudding. €103. I’d return for a toasted sandwich and a cup of tea, but I think that’s about it.

We loved this pub. The food, the conversations, and the pints are great! We enjoyed this place so much that we ate there both evenings during our visit to the Blarney area. The food is great. The entire staff is willing to take time to talk and share their knowledge of the area with you (including the owners - Rich and Duncan). This was just what we were looking for and it set the bar high for other pubs. It was our kind of place! Thank you for the experience!

I visited Blairs Inn recently for Sunday lunch with my wife and young family. The food was exceptional, the kids were very well looked after and we were very warmly welcomed by the lady of the house. A really cosy venue with great character, I highly recommend this restaurant We will be back....keep up the good work!!

We had a fantastic family meal here 10 out of 10 The food is very tasty and fresh. Well priced and portions were generous. There is a lovely outdoor space too with a small fire pit in the evening. The seating was very comfortable and you could see the Wood fire and chef making some delicious pizza 🍕 A place I would really recommend visiting if you’re looking for a nice meal. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great.

A friendly greeting as we arrived set the scene for a cozy dinner for our two families. Our drinks order was prompt and the food is simply the best in the area. From the crisp pork belly, to the mussel and monk fish zarzuella and the wood fired pizzas, hats off to the chef. Our children had margarita pizzas, the thin crispy bases made the Italian way went down a treat. All in all excellent value for money and food that one foodie can rave about! Well done to the team at Blair Inn!

Waited more than 30 hungry minutes for food to appear. Food was delicious. Cost was too high at €22.95 a plate, but a dessert at €9.95 is definitely out of order! Beautiful freshly made food, but we won’t be driving out there again.

Succulent roast pork with a delicious cider gravy and a generous helping of apple sauce washed down with a local craft cider on a warm summers afternoon in the shady garden beside the river at Blairs Inn Cloghroe - pure bliss. And to follow, good coffee and a leisurely chat with elegant hostess Anne Blair. Class endures.

A warm welcome on arrival and we were shown straight to our table. A very helpful waiter took our drinks order and provided menus. Food was excellent and was served with ample portions! We had the Whiskey Wings, Loin of Pork, Meatballs & a chicken salad. The portion sizes were very generous so visit on an empty stomach! The roast potatoes were some of the best we have ever eaten. Good old fashioned country pub with a distinct Irish charm that delivers competent home style cooking. We will return.

I have been going to Blair’s for years and I can highly recommend it. The welcome from John and Ann is so warm and friendly. Richard has always looked after any our corporate guests to the highest standard. The fire and cosy set up makes Blair’s as special as it is. The food is wow wow wow. We had a Christmas night out with 18 ladies and the menu was 5*****. Dunken is wonderful and you will be left with a taste of more. The corn beef and crab are my firm favorites. There’s always full and plenty. Blair’s has a wonderful outside area and a menu to suit all taste. During the summer they have mighty traditional music sessions. Fantastic to see to a family run business doing a magnificent job. Honestly go try the food and you won’t be disappointed. It’s a little gem of a place.

Stopped here starving! Was the best food on our entire trip. We both had a great espresso and veggie pie. Unbelievably good. Even non vegetarians would find this dish yummy!!! Would have had dessert but tummy was too perfectly content. Lots on the menu, chef even came out to welcome us and chat. Amazing old pub atmosphere.

Blairs Inn is the definition of a cosy food experience. The pub itself retains its original character. Their food is traditional, but with a polished twist and an emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients. I have visited many times. Over the years, I have had beautiful braised lamb shanks, juicy roast pork with cider sauce, winter game stew and gorgeous Cashel Blue salad with pear and walnuts. The menu always reflects the time of the season. In the nicer weather, their outdoor area is opened. It has a peaceful garden section by a babbling stream. As a side note, I had the nicest boiled new potatoes I have ever had here, reigniting my love of floury spuds! As well as excellent food, Blairs Inn is first and foremost a drinking establishment. They have a great selection of drinks. Their tap section always leaves room for local brews and a neat menu of cocktails offers welcomed variety.
