Visited for lunch. Lovely pub in the center of Blarney. Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodated my dietary requirements. Food was served promptly and staff checked several times to ensure we had everything we needed. They brought a refill of the pot of tea and clean cups without me asking. The meal was delicious and I really enjoyed my visit. Bathrooms are also very clean.

Stayed recently at the Muskerry for 2 nights, the rooms are really nice, clean and well decorated. The staff especially the two owners are so so nice and friendly, with just one small exception.
We had eaten before at the Muskerry and found it excellent, however this time we found the menu quite limited, I think there were only 4 different main courses on the menu, I'm a little fussy tbh so I asked about maybe a steak or something, the young female waiter answered me with a stern no.
The breakfast was good and very generous, although one of the days I had pancakes and they were just from a packet heated up in the microwave.
Although we ate elsewhere the second night, I still have to comment how nice and friendly the staff in the bar were, we really enjoyed our stay.

Thank you so much for your kind review, we are so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Muskerry Arms especially the accommodation and the friendly service. With regards to the issues that you raised and thank you very much for bringing them to our attention, we do genuinely appreciate all feedback, unfortunately due to Covid-19 we are operating in very different circumstances than normal and so unfortunately in line with many other similar businesses we are at present offering a reduced menu, with six main course options. However we do plan to return to our usual full menu in the coming months and we hope to welcome you back then.
With warmest regards

I am giving this place 1 mark only because it was warm. We arrived at lunchtime sat down and waited for one of the staff that was behind the bar having a conversation between themselves and were unaware that we had no menu. We waited and waited in the end the one person in our party went up to them and with a look of distane was reluctantly given a menu. We looked at the menu and for a sandwich the cost was €11 almost.,after awhile of more waiting for someone to take our order we got up and left . We ate a very nice lunch in the area with nice staff and cleaner. I will not be back to a place where staff have no manners or any regards what costomer service means.

Thank you for your feedback, I was very disappointed to read about your experience; we normally get great reviews for our friendly service and I am so sorry that this was not your experience.. Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention, we genuinely appreciate all feedback both positive and negative as it informs us as to what we are getting right and where we need to make improvements. I have brought your review to attention of all the team to ensure that this does not happen again.
I sincerely apologise that our service was not up to our usual high standards on this occasion.

I had an amazing stay at Muskerry B&B, would highly recommend. I was a young solo female traveller for pleasure reasons. I arrived at the bar to check in and met a lovely girl, Aine, who I believe I was also talking to over the phone the night before when I was enquiring about check in time and if there was a key to the room, and who then explained on phone to check in, in bar. I arrived at 1.3 before check in time but my room was ready so was allowed check in early and Aine was very nice and explained everything very well to me and made me feel very welcome and she also offered to help carry my luggage to the room. My room was very cosy and beautifully decorated and very clean. The mattress was so comfortable and there was a spare pillow in the wardrobe and it was a very nice shower with very good water pressure and temperature options. Later, I went down to the bar for food and had the burger and chips, which was beautiful. The manager met me when I approached the bar and was bringing me to a high stool table, but I asked for a low table but he said there wasn't any available. Aine noticed this and ran after me and said she spotted a low table so gave that to me, which I was very impressed by. I was on the second floor and felt very safe and although my room was street facing on a bank holiday Sunday, there was no noise that kept me awake. The following morning I got a beautiful breakfast, that was freshly cooked, very tasty and generous portion wise. At breakfast I met another waitress who had a nice chat with me. The location is ideal as well, with the bus stop in and out of city literally outside door. Would highly recommend Muskerry B&B to anyone, whether a solo travel for work reasons or break or a couple, I don't think I could find a fault and would definitely go back if I was looking for a room again.

I can tell however from your review, that it was Aine who made your visit so special, I am delighted but not surprised to hear that she took the time and the care to ensure that you felt safe and comfortable and welcome here, she is a lovely young woman and and a much valued member of our team and we are so lucky to have her and indeed all our wonderful staff. The food served here is very bad. It's pure leftover food!…I swear I'll never eat here again in the rest of my life. The menu I ordered to eat with my children were barbecue fried chicken wings that were burnt and black, like they had leftover fried chicken wings from another table served to me and the children. As for the chips It was in pieces and soaked in oil, like putting old things together and warming them up on a plate and serving them to me, and the price I had to pay was the price of normal food.

I am very sorry to hear that you were so disappointed with your meal and I must admit to being shocked and dismayed upon reading it as we normally get great reviews for our food. I would like to categorically assure you that we do NOT reuse leftover food but the barbeque sauce can sometimes make the wings appear burnt in appearance. I so wish that you had brought this to our attention when you were here, I would like to assure you that we would have done our utmost to rectify the matter to your satisfaction and would of course have offered you an alternative meal. We do genuinely hate to hear of guests leaving feeling disappointed especially without affording us the opportunity to rectify the situation but I would like to take the opportunity now to sincerely apologise and hope you might reconsider and give us another chance.
Sincerely

An easy walk across the green from the entrance to Blarney house you will find this pub and restaurant. We enjoyed the BLT but we were surprised when the dish arrived; it was the skimpiest sandwich I have ever had but it was delicious. Fries were okay and the side salad was unidentifiable. Has the seafood stew and it was okay. If traveling to Blarney I would return here again.

Thank you very much for your review, I'm just wondering if you might have confused us with another establishment as we don't have a seafood stew/pie on the menu and we are usually very generous with our portion size. If it was us, I am genuinely very sorry to hear that you weren't completely satisfied with your meal and would like to assure you that should you decide to visit us the next time you are in Blarney, if anything is not to your satisfaction, please don't hesitate to let us know and we will do our utmost to rectify it immediately.

The worst ''seafood chowder'' I've ever had in my life! The soup was almost like a thick chicken soup you would get out of a tin and I struggled to find one piece of fish! They served it to me with one slice of packet white bread. My friends food was no better, the Caeser salad was soggy and the chicken burger was cheap! The bar itself is in a nice area and would probably be nice to go for a drink but I will never order food from here again! They also noticed the full plates of food untouched and didn't ask if we enjoyed our food, they just asked would we like the bill.

Tea, I am so sorry to hear about your recent experience when you visited us. We normally get great reviews for our food and service but we obviously did not live up to our usual high standards on this occasion. The staff member should have noticed the plates, it must have been one of our newer, less experienced staff members but that is no excuse and I would like to assure you, that had you made us aware of your dissatisfaction, we would have done our utmost to rectify the situation immediately as we honestly do hate to hear of a guest leaving feeling disappointed. Thank you for bringing it to our attention now, we genuinely do appreciate all feedback both positive and negative as it informs us as to what we are getting right and also areas where we can make improvements.

The scones and tea here were one of the highlights of my visit to Ireland. All of my friends were at the Blarney Castle but I wanted time to myself. There was a wonderful little fireplace burning coal and wood, a lovely pot of tea and the best scone I have ever had fresh out of the oven with clotted cream, butter and jam. It was perfect and dthe service was just right. The young man at St. Vincent de Paul suggested your pub. Scones are not on your menu. Please don't keep these a secret! Wishing you were here in Atlanta, Georgia, USA!

Food was good, beer selection decent, and service was quick (although it was slow the weekend we visited). We were told to visit a restaurant across the street that started with a C, but it was closed so this was our option at that time, but we don't regret it. The indoors has a lot of seating, plenty of locals, and the outdoor spaces were really big. I get the feeling this place is the lunch stop for many tour buses throughout the day simply due to the scale of it, and location.

I came here for a late afternoon lunch and I am very glad I did. There were many options on the menu---I had the cod fillet and it was cooked perfectly. The food came out quickly and was a good portion size for its price. The staff were super friendly, and I loved the overall vibe of the place. Overall, I highly recommend Muskerry Arms to anyone visiting Blarney.

We're a party of 3 with a small dog. Rang to book a table for food and the owner was so accommodating. We got lovely seats in the patio area so the dog could stay with us. Jackie, our waitress, was very friendly and we were so impressed with the food. My son said it was the best food he has eaten in a restaurant in Ireland! We would highly recommend.

I got the special which on the day was the roast beef…first of all we didn’t even get our cutlery until our meal was served which was poor from the staff.
I got my meal and the potatoes were a disgrace it was like something in a tube for months the roast beef was shocking and tasteless very disappointing meal.
One of the waiters just took my plate without asking me was I finished as I still had food in my plate
I certainly would not be going to this place even if your stuck for food

This restaurant is located just a short walk from the Blarney Grounds. Myself and a group of friends went here after visiting the Blarney Castle to warm up before our drive back to Dublin. It didn't feel touristy at all. Everyone said the food they ordered was good and the drinks were proper. I highly suggest this place if need to sit and relax, revive before leaving back to your place in Ireland.
