Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Myself and my partner were here a drink, we ordered a pint of Guinness and a pint of Coors. I got my pint of coors and my partner was waiting for his Guinness to settle. As a bar manager of 20 + years he knows...his stuff, his pint was full of bubbles and settled far too quickly. When he discretely asked what was assumed was either an owner or a manger to have a look at his pint, she rudely told him to ‘calm his hormones’ and walked away. The premises was freezing the staff here are ignorant. Won’t be coming back.More

Basic food they try to make really fancy and charge a fortune. Way to expensive for mediocre pub grub. Better off going elsewhere. Too dear. Not worth the money.

We arrived with no booking and were given seats in the corner to watch a football match. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. We decided to have food, chicken wings, loaded fries and loaded nachos all great choices. Bouncer on the door was...very sound. Really enjoyed our night here.More

Nice location and comfy bar. Staff were very friendly but forgot some stuff and wait times for drinks and food is too long. You get 3 tapas for 19 euro. I had patatas bravas which were just cubed potatoes from a packet with a small...bit of sauce on them. The sirloin steak strips I got two tiny slices and the steak was overdone and chewy and the meatballs were miniscule with same sauce that was on the bravas. Definitely not an authentic tapas experience. Had espresso martini and pornstar martini they were nice.More

Only the downstairs of this pub is open after covid. This was the best dinner we had in Ireland. The atmosphere was very nice. It is located in the center of town. But the most enjoyable part of our evening was our gracious waittress -...Migella. She was so attentive and answered all our questions about the meal and all things Irish. She made the first Irish coffee we had and we decided by the end of the trip it was the best. Our evening was special due to her kindness and professionalism.More

We walked in for a post-church lunch, mostly on a whim. The staff was very attentive and helpful, and we got our pot of tea quickly. I ordered the salmon and avocado open sandwich with poached egg and a side salad, and was amazed at...how solid a meal that was: two slices of brown soda bread, two poached eggs, and plenty of salmon. As a light Sunday lunch this was perfect, and delicious, and the young lass working there was friendly and quick.More

We arrive on Saturday for out evening out that we had prebooked days in advanced. Whan we arrived we were told of tables were gone some excuse about a mixup (seemed to happen to other guests also) when we were finally seated we waited.... And...waited.... And waited we finally recieved 1st drinks appox 15 mins later and then we waited to order food. Appox 1 hour later half our table received food followed up 10 mins later by the rest and we were all still awaiting our next drinks. Half tbe tables food was bland cold void of any flavour and extremely overpriced for what we received our drinks order never arrived. We had finally had enough!!! And decided to leave we entred the bar to pay and again more waiting, we tgen were goving the wrong bill. While waiting to pay for the awful food and service we received twice we were rudely spoken to how we could only order drinks from a hatch and again we explained we wanted to pay. Finally we paid and left. It ruined our night made it stressful disappointing. Avoid this place shocking service, bland overpriced food when it finally arrives and if u want drinks be prepared to wait 45 mins.More

After ringing 3 times to confirm a table we were eventually told we could have one. Majella was really friendly and helpful but there was two other younger girls who were so bad at their job. Took over 15mins for them to come with drinks...and would always forgot something. Ordered cocktails, came with wrong ones after 30mins waiting. Girl was so rude when we advise it was not what we had ordered ,we were told it was. Came back and said actually they were the wrong ones. we are just so busy. The cocktails were awful. Need to train their staff.they aren't cheap and very disappointing. Don't waste your money on them. When we left there was at least 6 ppl in the back door smoking and couldnt get out passed them. This should not be happening in the current climate. We will not be returning was such a bad experience.More
