We booked a table for 8 - the staff were helpful and rang me to confirm. On the evening I went with the special starter Calamari and a main course of Hake. It was fab. Plenty of vegetables nicely cooked. My friends had steak and apart from looking Fantastic it accordingly to them it also tasted fab. We asked the waiter to compliment the chef that it was the nicest steak they've had in awhile. Wonderful evening in Henry's. Good value & better meal overall,compared to a recent meal we had in another well known restaurant.

Booked Henry's after reading previous reviews. It didn't disappoint. Food was delicious with excellent service. So good we booked to eat there the following night.
All dishes were well cooked and presented on both evenings.
We tried the chowder and special starter of fishcake with calamari. Chicken, lamb (twice) and cod special. Banoffee pie and bread pudding. Hard to pick a favourite, they were all equally great.

Took a chance and didn’t book the little gem. The very friendly and helpful staff were great. We had 5 mains with a couple of side orders desert and wine and soft drinks for a very reasonable amount. The Coeliac (Gluten Free) guest was very well catered for and it was no trouble at all for them to adapt the dinner they wanted. It was a great start to a wonderful weekend in Ennis. We’ll certainly be back and will recommend Henry’s Bistro to anyone interested. Thanks.

The food was extraordinary, we ordered the beef feather, the service was also extraordinary, we went as tourists and they recomended places to visit and they took care of us at every moment. Roney attended us he is really kind and pleasant. Excellent place to visit!

We had a beautiful lunch in Henry's. It was so elegant and welcoming. I had a day out with my friends and it really was the highlight of our day. Thank you to all at Henry's for the beautiful lunch. We all had different dishes and each one was presented beautiful and tasted great.

Our extended family had a meal in Henrys Bistro on Saturday evening last week and as it was my first visit I was very much looking forward to the experience. The menu looked very interesting and the description of the specials that evening sounded great. However, we were quite disappointed with both the flavour and the quantities of the food considering the pretty high prices being charged. The starters were tiny, particularly the black pudding tartlet and the mains when they were presented to the table simply under-impressed. I had the pork belly main course and the person beside me had the cod. Both were incredibly small. When I requested some additional vegetables and potatoes I was informed that normally one bowl is provided for two people to share. This bowl was very small and would barely be enough for one person. Our server then brought over one more bowl but I was left in no doubt that this is not normal practice. The desserts on the other hand were great so hats off there. Maye this is what we have to expect post pandemic. If this is the case I think I'll be dining at home more often in the future.

Hi Ronan,
Thanks for your post, we're calling this one "Vegetable-Gate". It was unfortunate we had to explain our Vegetable serving standard, but honestly your initial comments led us to it ( we certainly are not mean) We sold 16 Black Pudding Tarts, 9 Pork Belly and 22 Cod on the evening in question, no other customer had any issues with the size of these dishes or their prices. Ronan, the cost food etc globally is currently only going one way, so I imagine you will be cooking at home a lot more often.

Stopped for lunch en route to Limerick for a concert Friday 4pm. My daughter and I were greeted warmly as we stepped inside and given a choice of tables to choose from. Fresh water was brought over with the lunchtime menu. Good selection of starters, main courses and desserts.
We both choose the scampi which was served inside a scallop dish with a colourful side salad and hand cut, skin on, floury soft on the inside, crispy on the outside chips- yes they really did need that much detail to them, the tastiest chips I have had for a long time!
Everything was hot and really tasty. The kitchen is half open so you can see inside.
The bathroom was spotlessly clean but let down that there wasn't any soap in the dispenser however hand sanitizer was available.
We didn't have time for dessert ourselves but saw 2 fabulous Eton mess with ice cream desserts being served to the table nearby piled high with cream, berries and meringue.
The waiter kindly called a cab for another couple who's mobile would not work in Ireland and updated them on its arrival.
It's the little things that make an experience enjoyable.
I will most definitely be back again and make sure I have time to sample even more if the menu. Thank you

The food was amazing as always. Waiting staff need to be given extra training though. After we sat down, the server came over and asked if we were ready to order. We weren't asked if we wanted drinks while we decided what we wanted. Also we weren't told about the specials. we only knew about them when we heard another table being told about them but by then we had ordered. Finished side dishes, bread basket etc was left on our table all through the meal and weren't taken away when finished with. The table was sticky and needs a proper clean. Small things I know, but it's important to get the small things right.

Was lucky enough to get a table last minute on a Saturday, it was in a corridor section, would have liked to be in the main restaurant but it was last minute so can’t complain and it was a great experience. The staff are outstanding, so friendly, professional & extremely well trained, at one point my daughter dropped her spoon and a young chap looked around the corner and appeared with another without question. Service was swift but at no point rushed. The food was also delicious, squid, salmon, fish & chips all fresh & very tasty with the winning dish being the lamb shank, it fell off the bone & melted in the mouth. Perfect evening out, highly recommend.

When to Henrys for an evening meal, we had 3 courses all of which were delicious, the feather-blade beef was cooked to perfection as was the salmon. I would highly recommend henrys. The staff were excellent and so attentive .This place is so affordable. Ye are doing a great job and keep it up We will be back..

My Cousin and myself visited this restaurant this evening
They have a fabulous menu
I ordered Tiger Prawns to Start
The Lamb shank was just melt in your mouth with colcannon mash and red wine jus it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time
Bearing in mind I eat out regularly
My cousin had the chicken and thought it was divine
The staff were so nice to us
I actually spoke to the chef to thank him for a beautiful meal
Hence I am writing this review
I would highly recommend a visit to this wonderful Bistro

Visited Henry's today, what a pleasant experience. Reasonably priced and such excellent food. The service was top class and presentation was top class. Was talking to the co-owner who is also a chef and you would know that a chef was running it. Would highly recommend.

It was a busy evening but service was prompt and friendly. The menu choice was varied. I enjoyed the mushroom a creme starter. My husband ordered the lamb shank and said it was delicious. We were surprised when we only got 2 bowls of veg between 5 adults but as it happened we had plenty. The Eton Mess was a mixed berry version rather than strawberries and it was very satisfying. Great meal, lovely ambience, friendly staff - what more could you want.

The reviews suggested it could be busy enough to be sure of a reservation. Our slightly off season visit didn't need one but they did respond to my request about it. Our server was Oisin, a very friendly lad who tried hard to please and succeeded. I started with the chowder which a person could make a meal of. Then moved on to salmon. Both accompanied by a French Chablis. It was a totally delightful event that I highly recommend.

Had a lovely dinner recently and really enjoyed it. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere . Nice vegetarian selection. Only small quibble I had was the choice of desserts but that could be personal taste.
