Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On our first visit 6 of us showed up, no booking and we were shown to our table with a friendly smile. Food was delicious. Scampi is definitely the best around. Cosy atmosphere. Rony served us and was an absolute gent, so friendly and down...to earth. After this experience we just had to go back and again we loved every minute. Friendly staff and amazing food. Hats off to the chefs. Would highly recommend. Cannot wait to returnMore

If you're considering visiting here, do it! Called in here based on other reviews and without a booking, we were accommodated straight away. Had the scampi and fries. Absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to go back. Beef and Chicken dishes had by the rest...of the family looked absolutely lovely. Rony served us and was an absolute gent. Prices were very reasonable in my opinion. I cannot wait to return.More

Stopped for lunch en route to Limerick for a concert Friday 4pm. My daughter and I were greeted warmly as we stepped inside and given a choice of tables to choose from. Fresh water was brought over with the lunchtime menu. Good selection of starters,...main courses and desserts. We both choose the scampi which was served inside a scallop dish with a colourful side salad and hand cut, skin on, floury soft on the inside, crispy on the outside chips- yes they really did need that much detail to them, the tastiest chips I have had for a long time! Everything was hot and really tasty. The kitchen is half open so you can see inside. The bathroom was spotlessly clean but let down that there wasn't any soap in the dispenser however hand sanitizer was available. We didn't have time for dessert ourselves but saw 2 fabulous Eton mess with ice cream desserts being served to the table nearby piled high with cream, berries and meringue. The waiter kindly called a cab for another couple who's mobile would not work in Ireland and updated them on its arrival. It's the little things that make an experience enjoyable. I will most definitely be back again and make sure I have time to sample even more if the menu. Thank youMore

Called in for lunch Saturday 3nd July. Very helpful staff. Nicely laid out seating, clean and comfortable. Ordered scampl & chips , seafood pie, followed by coffee and a very generous Eton mess. All home cooked and excellent. Together with an club orange the lot...came to just over €40. Couldnt fault it. Will defo be back when passing through again. Would love to try for an evening meal. Great to find a place that's quality and not got up in summer greedy tourist prices. A real gem.... Ennis should be proud to have.More

It is fine but a more simple fairly limited Menu. Comfortable place with a couple of young, polite servers. Run by the Chef. There are a couple of better places in town.

We were visiting Ennis for a few days and decided to have our 'fancy' dinner on our first night away (a bit of a tradition). After reading the reviews, we booked Henrys for the Sunday evening. First impressions of the venue was excellent. It is...spotless, tidy, and both glassware and cutlery were cleaned to a high standard. There was a Sunday set menu available, which offered a good variety of dishes. We all had different choices, and all were perfectly cooked, served at a good temperature, presented with a tough of class, and delicious. I must give a special mention to the staff whose friendliness and attentiveness elevated a family meal to a proper dining experience, and would like to take this opportunity to thank their professionalism. 5 stars across the board, recommended to all.More

Took a chance and didn’t book the little gem. The very friendly and helpful staff were great. We had 5 mains with a couple of side orders desert and wine and soft drinks for a very reasonable amount. The Coeliac (Gluten Free) guest was very...well catered for and it was no trouble at all for them to adapt the dinner they wanted. It was a great start to a wonderful weekend in Ennis. We’ll certainly be back and will recommend Henry’s Bistro to anyone interested. Thanks.More

Was lucky enough to get a table last minute on a Saturday, it was in a corridor section, would have liked to be in the main restaurant but it was last minute so can’t complain and it was a great experience. The staff are outstanding,...so friendly, professional & extremely well trained, at one point my daughter dropped her spoon and a young chap looked around the corner and appeared with another without question. Service was swift but at no point rushed. The food was also delicious, squid, salmon, fish & chips all fresh & very tasty with the winning dish being the lamb shank, it fell off the bone & melted in the mouth. Perfect evening out, highly recommend.More

We enjoyed dinner recently at Henry’s. Had the mushroom starter. It was divine. Had the steak for mains and I can honestly say it was the best I’ve had outside of Argentina. Very tender and cooked to perfection. The service was very professional yet friendly....Well done to all the team. I look forward to returning soon.More

Had dinner here recently with friends. Could not fault it from start to finish. Staff friendly and professional. Food was delicious and so fresh. Starters all lovely, mains of salmon, hake, rib eye and lamb shank were just so tasty and generous portions. Desserts/Coffees equally...good. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Busy restaurant - lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.More

Simply excellent!! From the minute we walked in, until we left, everything about this evening was delightful. It was a quietish evening for my birthday, with my wife, children and partners, and my mother in law. Everyone was impressed with the service and the choice...and quality of the food. We had the chance to go to dinner with 4 friends on the weekend before Christmas and decided to go to Henry's Bistro and Wine Bar in Ennis. Admittedly, while it has been around for a few years I never had occasion to go for...dinner. Well, what a pleasant surprise. The interior is clean and simple which I like and the staff are incredibly kind and attentive. The food....wow!!! The food is absolutely beautiful. I had the Duck Confit, one of our friends had the Risotto and the other three had the beef. Every single one of us said their meals were outstanding. The beef was cooked to perfection, the Risotto was creamy and cooked to perfection and the duck...Oh yea...the duck was gorgeous. Juicy and literally falling off the bone. The wait staff looked after us and absolutely earned their tip. It was a beautiful night with great friends and incredible food. I will definitely be making every effort to make my way back to Henry's since it is right in town here.More
