Outstanding service and brilliant food! All four of us had wonderful meals here. I went for the ribs, so meaty and tender, I have significant weakness due to disability but ribs were so tender they fell apart perfectly so I could eat them without any notable assistance. The menu was extensive the wait staff were very friendly and informed. The deserts were exceptional too. I really enjoyed the pint in here too. Perfect thick creamy head to the Guinness went down a treat with a the delicious meal. Will be back again! Highly recommended.

I booked The Market Bar for a hen party and everybody in the group along with myself were highly impressed. I really couldn’t recommended it enough for a special group meal. Barry was very friendly and helpful to deal with and on the night of the dinner, the staff were very professional and pleasant. The restaurant personalised the menu for the hen party which was a lovely touch and the menu had several options on it. The food was delicious and nicely presented and there was a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant also. Thanks so much to all working at the Market Bar, I look forward to returning soon.

This is a pub, and at the time of visiting it was quiet, which suited us fine.
Not the easiest of places for strangers to Ennis to find as its feels tucked away.
The staff made us feel welcome.
I ordered a daily special Turkey, Ham, Mash and vegetables with thick gravy and it was delicious. My partner had the burger which he enjoyed too.
This is pub food and wholly enjoyable.

Very disappointed. I was the only vegetarian in the group of 3. No hot food on the “lunch “ menu for vegetarians so I had the Goats Cheese salad +chips for a hot taste. The chips were overcooked & only some edible. I wouldn’t have picked salad that winter day. Busy with the Trad music going on in the town and lots of visitors so it took about 25 mins before we could order. Fair enough. Staff were nice but looked stressed. I didn’t see the menu before I came in but website says vegetarian friendly. This is probably the least Vegetarian friendly place I have visited recently. Also I think the food was overpriced on a lunch menu. Please sort out your menu. I heard a man at the next table ask for the vegetarian menu 🤣

I'm not sure where to start with this review...
We booked a family dinner for 10 people. The waitress had a serious attitude, was slow and unhelpful. The staff never once acknowledged both 30minute wait times, both for dinner and to simply have our cake(which we brought in) 'sliced'. 2/3rds of the cake was gone but were only 9 of us eating? The 'fish and chips' were dreadful bits of burnt batter with re-heated chips. Lastly, our pots of tea were not even 3/4 filled..again there was no apology from staff. Very disappointing.

Disappointed with food standard. Ordered the Chicken and Stuffing Wrap with chips. Wrap was cold and hard, 2 small breaded chicken goujons and a smear of stuffing. Slow service also, as appeared to be understaffed. Not good value for money. Portions have decreased and the cost does not reflect.

The food was abysmal, bland, don’t get chicken vol eu vonts. We had two portions and they looked awful and tasted terrible. Chicken was ok, no vegetables with any meal. The steak was undercooked had to send that back. The service was awful overcharging, which was rectified when we pointed out the error. Men’s toilets were dirty and water all over the floor. Wouldn’t go back.

We arrived for a late lunch and were extremely disappointed. The meals were okay nothing outstanding. Desserts were disappointing and very high priced. To top it off there was little or no service. Every time we wanted tea, dessert, or the check, we had to search for to find someone. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My friends and I had a lovely dinner last Saturday night in the Market Bar. The environment felt safe at all times which was brilliant. It was my first time dining here. Our food was delicious and for three ladies who really love their wine- the wine selection was fab. Staff couldn't be more attentive and we were especially touched by the owner's ( Slovakian lady, forgot her name) presence and gratitude for our custom. I would definitely bring my family back here again.

My brother & myself we’re in Ennis and had a few hours to spend so we decided we would go for dinner.
We looked up a few restaurants and decided on the Market Bar & Restaurant.
We had no booking and despite it being busy they managed to get us a table.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
We both had Prawn & Chorizo starter followed by Carbonara & Chicken Curry.
My mouth was still dancing when I got back home to Donegal it was top class.
I would highly recommend a visit if your in the Ennis area.

Wouldn't be the kind to write bad reviews however the food here is bland and overpriced. Got the steak, asked for it medium and it was burnt after waiting 45 minutes for it. We ended up just leaving hungry and went to another restaurant.

The staff are super friendly, restaurant is totally Covid compliant. It was my first meal out once the restaurants opened back up so was unsure what it would be like. It was perfect, great service, tasty food and you didn’t feel like there were restrictions in place as tables were nicely spaced and sanitizer available and after tracing info it was eating as normal. Burger special is always good here and cheesecake of the day won’t disappoint

Incredible venue for a wedding, we’d 120 in the venue by the end and truly a spectacular night. The team couldn’t have done anymore for us and had the place looking amazing - commented on by almost every guest we spoke to. The food was INCREDIBLE and everything was made very personal. Ideal place for a small/medium sized wedding .

Me and my friend came for drinks after Paddy’s and was meaning to leave a review but I forgot. The food was actually good ( we only ordered starters) and was full afterwards. Cocktails were lovely. Barman was seriously friendly and even though they were very busy we received our drinks fast. Waitress was nice aswel. A lot better than some of the other more popular bars and resteraunts in town. Overall good experience and will be back.

Rude, snappy and retorts to customers with polite requests. This is my 3th visit and she left an awful taste even before I had anything to eat . This women either needs a lesson in manners or she needs to get into new line of work , because the service industry is NOT her “ think “ .
