Despite covid restrictions, and in keeping with most Highland hospitality suffering staff shortages, this was a pleasant stop. Fantastic views, friendly efficient staff, very nice food and yet still offering this service while maintaining covid protection. Community run its a wee jewel in South Skye....Highly recommended.More

While I appreciate it is difficult times at present along with my wife we sought this place out while on our tour so Skye as it look so promising on their site and photos. It is, however, on arriving on Sunday around 2pm, it’s open...till 4pm, a very courteous member of staff explained, theirs no sandwiches, meals, no baking left other than two cakes as they were awaiting a new chef starting next week and we’re short of staff. I am sorry for such a larger investment in the property that is obviously recently been built in an excellent location only to fail on fundamentals is almost unforgivable. If it’s a cafe, restaurant or whatever not to be in a position to offer something other than a Jaffa Cake or Chocolate Fudge brownie is poor, very poor. On our visit I counted 4 staff around the area waiting on the few people still there, obviously enjoying the last of the food that was available. I truly do hope this place survives longer term as it is a beautiful and well located place with plenty of parking only to fail miserably on something that is fundamental to its existence, provision of food to its hungry potential customers. Best of luck and will check it out again on my next visit to Skye.More

This is the local community shop for the Camuscross area of the Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. it is well stocked with everything the self catering holidaymaker could want. The ready prepared meals are very, very tasty.

Been a few times and it's always nice but just nothing special. For example our veggie burger on more than one occasion simply just comes with a veggie patty in a bun....nothing else...no salad etc... tasted nice but just feel a little let down when...it feels that for just a little bit more effort it could be soo much nicer! And for the price of the food you really would expect that extra step. Pretty sure the burgers are around £12.50... had the fry a few times also and it's much better value and enjoyed it every time!More

The cafe has a good range of lunches and the cakes are amazing. It is open Wednesday to Sunday just now and it is a good idea to book ahead. A great place for a coffee and a catch up.

We were staying close by and popped in for lunch. Was definately a good choice. Great space, with nice views out. We had soup and followed up with some cake. Soup was really tasty as well as the warm bread served with it. Cake was...equally good and the service from the team was very welcoming too. Next time we are in the Sleat are will make sure we visit again.More

We had a delicious lunch here after arriving on the ferry. We just pulled in without doing any research and were pleasantly surprised. The cafe also has gorgeous views of the hills and you can sit outside to enjoy the view. Oh and they were...covid safe!More

We had lunch here on a beautiful sunny day. The cafe is light and airy inside but we opted to sit outside and enjoy the stunning views. I had the vegan beetroot hummus sandwich, my partner had the cooked breakfast. Both very tasty and with...oatmilk cappuccino to finish we were set up for the day. The cafe is well organised for Covid-19 and the staff were very friendly, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.More

Great stop off on Skye for late lunch. Service 2nd to none - very friendly staff, organised and totally C19 safe. 5 of 6 had the burger - home made and super tasty with home cooked roastie chips and very fresh salad. Sis in law...had the chicken & mozzarella and pesto sandwich with homemade slaw and side of roastie chips We had a portion of onion rings too. We all really enjoyed this meal. Thanks to all the staff too. Go if you get chance. Highly recommended.More
