A superb fish and chip shop with all good cooked to order using quality ingredients. The fish is superb and the plaice to be unusual in having a sustainability policy. Worth a visit if you like quality fish and chips.

My partner and I stopped in Pitlockry for a tour and we stumbled upon The Plaice to Be. Honest to God it was the best fish and chips I've had in a LONG time. So so good. When I go back to Scotland next I definitely plan on going back here!!

Visited this chippy while staying at Killiecrankie as Pitlochry is only a 5min drive away. Great selection of food on offer and staff were very friendly. All food was cooked fresh, will eat here again when we're up that way again :)

Just one of the best in Scotland for a Fish Supper. Dropped by again. Staff are very friendly and the food portions are great.

While on holiday in Pitlochry this summer we ate from this chip shop quite a few times and we found the portions and the quality very good.

We always stop here on a Friday night on our way to Aviemore. On our last visit we mentioned that we had missed closing time by five minutes on a previous visit. Hugh said that's not a problem, just phone from Perth next time and we'll keep the fryer on for you. Fantastic service! Worth the seventy mile drive for... More

Phoned and asked about Gluten free.......YES, lad on phone so helpful. All our fish suppers were top notch, and the Gluten free a treat, often I get grilled fish!!!! Not the same.

Hugh has a great set up with a wide selection of fast eats including gluten free options. Without exception the Fish and Chips are excellent and deliver lasting happy memories. then there's the curry sauce and mushy peas - comfort food at its very best. The service is always prompt and cheerie. The Plaice to Be would be a good... More

Food was cooked to order. Batter was light and crisp with a nice flavour. Thick piece of tasty haddock. Hugh was very friendly and chatted to us while our food was cooking. We'll be back.
