When I first started using Trip Advisor, I used to give 5-star reviews to quite a few places which I considered to be very good. After a while, though, it dawned on me that a full 5 'stars' should really only be given to those places which go above and beyond, and are truly head and shoulders above the rest.... More

This was our second visit a year apart and we weren't disappointed. Everything made our evening special - the staff are friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is warm and inviting and the food was really fantastic. We had pre-dinner drinks in the cosy snug by the fire and we were given plenty of time to choose from the menu. Staff... More

We were here recently as part of a large group for a birthday lunch. The food was excellent, good sized portions and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Decor was lovely and inviting and I would definitely recommend it.

We love this restaurant, attached to the East Haugh House Hotel, which offers amazing food every time. Open to the public. Family owned and run, Neil is passionate about his food but also a great laugh and all round smashing guy. If you're passing or staying please make sure to eat here, you won't regret it.

Had a beautiful meal here, served by a lovely waitress. This is a beautiful place to eat, but be warned, there are no pavements or street lights. So a taxi or car is recommended.

Served drinks and studied menus in the cosy snug adjoining the restaurant - a lovely start. Courteous service, immaculate table settings and attractively lit room. Generous helpings with attractive presentation. Everyone in the party happy with their choices. I had cauliflower piping hot creamed soup with mouth-watering warm brown bread, followed by cod and green beans on a bed of... More

We walked along from our B&B as this hotel had been recommended for dinner. We had a lovely meal and excellent wine. Our server recommended the seared hare which was new to me and it was delicious! And the chocolate mousse was scrumptious! Service was fine and our meal was relaxed and leisurely

This is a lovely spot for dinner. An old hunting/fishing lodge with lures available for purchase as you enter, they served an excellent meal. This being our first time in Scotland, we had to try the Haggis. But this being our first time trying Haggis, we did not want to bet the whole meal on it, so they were kind... More
