Served drinks and studied menus in the cosy snug adjoining the restaurant - a lovely start. Courteous service, immaculate table settings and attractively lit room. Generous helpings with attractive presentation. Everyone in the party happy with their choices. I had cauliflower piping hot creamed soup with mouth-watering warm brown bread, followed by cod and green beans on a bed of... More

We walked along from our B&B as this hotel had been recommended for dinner. We had a lovely meal and excellent wine. Our server recommended the seared hare which was new to me and it was delicious! And the chocolate mousse was scrumptious! Service was fine and our meal was relaxed and leisurely

This is a lovely spot for dinner. An old hunting/fishing lodge with lures available for purchase as you enter, they served an excellent meal. This being our first time in Scotland, we had to try the Haggis. But this being our first time trying Haggis, we did not want to bet the whole meal on it, so they were kind... More

We had meals included as part of our stay and looked forward to dinner every evening. The menu is not extensive but does offer a variety of dishes, including daily specials, that are well prepared and attractively presented.

Nice restaurant and bar, good menu although maybe could have done with a more extensive wine list. Quality food cooked and presented well. Good quality service. Wouldn't necessarily rush back but it wouldn't be a chore either.

Good food was enjoyed by 3 ofa group of 4 although I would be challenging with what the waiter recommends when it comes to your preferred level of cooking: our liver was requested medium/rare, he suggested medium: it arrived overcooked. The recipient, not one to complain, did not address at the time. A number of items were not available ( Duck... More

We ate dinner and breakfast in this restaurant. The lamb was cooked beautifully. The desserts (rhubarb and ginger cooked cheesecake and sticky toffee pudding were lovely). Brekfast had a good choice including smoked salmon. Very good range of wine by the glass.
