A shorter menu than some. Haggis, neaps and tatties to die for and very well-cooked duck on another occasion. Service competent and friendly, with music not too loud. A very informal atmosphere.

Lovely atmosphere in this central Perth restaurant. Food was very good value and plenty choices. Only one complaint was that there was only 2 staff serving the tables and our desserts had obviously been waiting to be brought to the table as the ice cream had melted. Toilets are a long walk so don't wait too long.

Recently had lunch in the Bothy which was actually so busy they were having to turn people away. Always a good sign. We were warmly greeted by the staff and were seated quickly. I Ordered the Balmoral chicken with haggis and a whiskey cream sauce. My husband had pork medallions with a peppercorn sauce. We didn,t have to wait long... More

Visited this place again after a gap of a few years . Much quieter but still comfortable . Over a weekend had a shared lunch and Sunday lunch. Shared lunch could not have eaten the club sandwich myself . The only annoying thing was a £3.45 supplement on the Sunday lunch if you chose lamb or beef , a bit... More

We came across this restaurant on a rainy day looking for one course, we were greeted by very friendly staff and managed to get a table for 2, although I think booking would be advisable especially on the evening. I had haggis neeps and tatties with a lovely whisky sauce which was delicious. We had a perfect window seat and... More

This restaurant was recommended by our bnb hosts, and exceeded expectations. Lamb loin, pan seared salmon and Cullen skink were all excellent. Good selection of local craft beer and whiskey. A highlight of our trip!

We spent good time in that typical place. Good food and lovely kilt dressed waiters. Best place to eat in Perth.

Had a great last minute meal and drinks at The Bothy in Perth. Modern and Scottish meals modern bar great wine. We had Beef Wellington and Hallibut followed by the cheese board and sticky toffee pudding which was amazing! Good service until the end of the night when the attention seemed to slow but we loved the atmosphere and the... More
