Made a birthday special

With the Covid restrictions it was difficult to celebrate our three year old son’s birthday with his grandparent without spending it outside. We decided to go to Grounded for coffee instead as the atmosphere is always inviting, the coffee is hot and the cakes are...delicious. As soon as we got there Karl made sure our son’s birthday was very special indeed. He ensure that he got a big slice of chocolate brownie with ice cream and played “happy birthday” over the speakers as our son blew out the candles! It made the day special for his Nana too who didn’t have to spend time with her grandson outside in the cold!! What an amazing service - thank you for going the extra mile!!!! The Gallies xxxMore

Birthday Party

I had my son's birthday party here. Catering was incredible. Great variety of healthy food, snacks and juice for the kids and tea/coffee for the adults. We had 30 children (mostly 4 and 5 year olds), it was noisy and manic, but Karl made this...completely hassle free for us by providing the bouncy castle, play equipment and all the catering for an extremely reasonable price. I managed to enjoy watching the kids having fun while Karl took care of the rest. Nothing was too much hassle for him. Cannot recommend him and his team highly enough. 😃More

Just amazing!

We're local to the area and I've always meant to visit Grounded. Well I did on Wednesday along with friends and have to say I'm going to become a regular now. It's such an open area and it's comfortable. The staff are lovely and have...to give the chef full praise. It was very busy and the food he was producing looked amazing. My friend had Fish and Chips and it was huge, he loved every bite. I had a Sliced egg Ciabatta which was so tasty and very fresh. The salad was nice and crisp too. Followed by a beautiful Latte and a Brownie! We'll be back soon.More

Lovely

This is a much needed space in Alness where there is a severe lack of young children-friendly venues. The toddler play area is well equipped and spacious with great visibility for supervising parents. It’s comfortable, service is very friendly and the food is great from...an impressively varied menu (kids and adults alike). I’m delighted to have discovered it.More

awesome family friendly cafe with consistently good food and providing stress free kids party’s!

I have been coming to grounded cafe with kids for a while now and they do great food consistently while the kids play ( a mums dream) so I decided to have my kids party there and WOW they went above and beyond to make...it easy for us. A bouncy castle, soft play building blocks and other toys kept the kids entertained. They provided a dairy free buffet as requested for the kids, tea/coffee and cake for the adults. We played music on a speaker provided and They even provided us with boxes for ppl to take cake home. The customer service was brilliant with nothing being a bother to them. We didn’t have to clean up a single thing ..... highly recommended!!More

Christmas Afternoon Tea Delight

First class Christmas afternoon tea with friends from work today - thank you so much Karl and team. Everything from the mulled wine on arrival to the mini cakes at the end and all in between was absolutely delicious. Such good value for money too!...Highly recommend!More

Good food

Excellent cafe with lovely food and very friendly staff. Brilliant to visit solo or as a family! The cakes and scones are always delicious, especially the bacon, onion and cheese ones!!

Scalding hot, weak coffee. Yup - another example of my "northern coffee rule"

Absolutely scalding hot coffee, weak as anything. This isn't even that far north, but is a fine example of the positive correlation between latitude and temperature, and the unfortunate negative correlation of latitude and strength.More

Afternoon Delight

Have just experienced the most delicious and original Afternoon Tea at Grounded. Scrumptious sandwiches, sensational scone, kilted sausages(served warm), a trio of sweet treats and an amazing choice of teas & coffees. Would highly recommend this delightful cafe.More
