Booked as we read the great reviews but we ended up being really disappointed. Service was fantastic even though they were very busy, but food very bland, lacked refinement and passion in our opinion. Looked ok on the plate but disappointing on taste. We had...More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant for dinner, and the Crannog did not disappoint! It seems like it gets pretty busy, so you might want to think about calling ahead for reservations. If you like seafood- this was so fresh and so delicious. Service was great....More

Had dinner here recently, happy it is just as good as remembered from 20 years ago. Warm and welcoming on a cold dark evening, with a good wood stove beside their bar. Food was good mussels and cod for me, oysters and monk fish wrapped...More

Located on the Lochside in Fort William. Known to the locals for its fresh seafood...be prepared for the high prices...I was not. Most entrées start around £20 and starters around £8, but I was tired from a long day of traveling and just decided to...More

I'm unsure if it's geared for children. I suspect not but lunchtimes or very early evening might be ok for children. There were no children there during our visits.
