Average food at extortionate prices ...head further up the street for a value for money burger..I wish we had. Oh and a footnote to the bar and waiting staff. This is the 21st century, gays eat food too! You made my partner extremely uncomfortable when he spotted the three of you clearly discussing both of us at the bar. Poor... More

This place was recommended online so went along for dinner enjoying deep fried haggis balls, stag pie with curly fries and cranachan ice-cream with shortbread and a nice pint of Scottish ale. All very tasty and satisfying, enjoy your food in the upstairs restaurant then pop to the pub downstairs for a good selection of drinks or just come in... More

Came here for a drink on Easter Monday evening very well keep beer. Taster glasses not a problem and aided with the choice of a pint of hand pulled ale. Bar staff very knowledgeable about their products, a good mix of ages eating and drinking in here that evening. Have to admit that the name did make me look twice... More

The service was wonderful but the food wasn't as good. We went the first day and was told that it was full so we came back the second day wanting to find out about what's so good about this place, but it was slightly disappointing. However, there is a very good ale, but not for people who prefer cocktails cause... More

We came, we saw, we ate... well, and we drank. Food was good for two hungry walkers and the local beers and spirit selection hit the spot. Good place

We arrived in Fort William at lunch time after a long drive and had a little walk along the high street. We had seen the Grog and Gruel on trip advisor prior to our holiday so we stopped to read the menu - looked fab and had a good variety of classic meals with a local twist! We had read... More

We visited here whilst on our campervan holiday. We more or less had to eat here as we had our dog with us. We ordered out meals and asked for the kids meals to come out with our starters. We waited roughly 40 minutes for kids meals to cone out. Then we waited and waited and waited for our starters.... More

Dog friendly is a bit overstated, they let dogs in, but that's about it. For £5.35 I would have expected a full baguette not a half one! Staff must have been having an off day as they weren't friendly at all. Not impressed and won't be recommending this place ☹️
