This was our "splurge" restaurant during our stay in Inverness, and the Rocpool did not disappoint. Some of the best lamb I have ever eaten. Excellent food served in a creative presentation. Excellent service. If you are looking for a special dining experience, I would...More

I recently visited here with 5 friends on a Saturday night. We booked the table reservation months in advance as we didn't want to miss out eating here as we had heard good reviews. We travelled from Glen Coe which is nearly 2 hours away....More

When your first interaction with staff is them asking you to leave the premises - you know they don't really care about your experience. Our reservation had not made it to "the list" (fortunately we had proof) so we were told to go away and...More

Knowing how popular the Rocpool is; I booked a table for six on a Saturday night in September five months in advance (April). My group & I were coming to the end of a mini-Scotland tour and had driven to the restaurant directly from Glencoe....More

This was the best meal we had in Inverness, and definitely one of our favorite in Scotland. The service was better than most other restaurants and the wine selection was fantastic as well

We've spend two weeks in Ireland and Scotland, and this restaurant rates at the top of our list. We shared both the Venison and the Halibut, both were outstanding. They offered a very affordable Australian Shiraz on the wine list, which was delicious. The staff...More

This is a good cafe which offers delicious baked goods, sandwiches and a number of main dishes. The food is tasty and there is a good range of non-alcoholic drinks, teas and tisanes, and various kinds of coffees. The only problem is that the restaurant...More

We are here one evening with friends. All I can say is that the food, service and atmosphere was outstanding! It is pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Since it opened in 2002, Rocpool Restaurant ha become an effervescent Inverness brasserie with a loyal fan base. A cool contemporary decor with lots of bare wood and bold colours give a buzzy vibe to the restaurant which is situated in a prime site on the banks of the River Ness. The kitchen has a repotoire of eclectic modern dishes which use Scotland's matchless produce sprinkled with Mediterranean sunshine, plus a pinch of exotic spice here and there.
