Friend and I had baked potatoes and hot chocolate and a long chat in a friendly warm atmosphere. Service was great and helpful. I would recommend The Red Pepper for an informal, friendly light lunch.

Up in Inverness for a visit & pop'd into here for lunch. Plenty of selection to choose from - we ordered our food I asked if sandwich came with salad & crisps. Was told it came with crisps & salad cost extra. The ham sandwich arrived with butter spread on just one side & 9 crisps (cos I counted them)... More

Little disappointed when we ordered baked potato for two a tea and a coffee. Had added up cost only discover that it was £2 dearer than menu. When we quizzed why dearer told 50p surcharge per person for eating in. Along with 50p surcharge for small amount of coleslaw and tiny salad they put with potato. No mention anywhere in... More

Sara, the waitress we had, was so wonderfully calm and patient. She also had a beautiful smile which made the hours of travelling before hand easier to bare! She was by herself for most of our stay, and yet she did everything with such precision and speed that everyone was happy!

Soup, panini, a cake, coffee and a coke £14. I may as well have gone to a proper restaurant. The cafe was scruffy and the staff too busy chatting with mates to notice that there was sweeping up and clearing to be done. Also, I don't like having my table sprayed and the window ledge sprayed with anti - bacterial... More

I visited at the weekend with my family and was very impressed! Great coffee - at the cheapest price I have seen it in Inverness. There was a large selection of cakes which all looked lovely. The actual menu was extremely good value for money also. The two girls that were working were very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommended.

A great place to enjoy a full breakfast, a home-made soup with a lovely grainy roll, or a sandwich and coffee (the tea is good, too!). It is now in its new quarters which are bright and fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Be sure to try one of their delicious meals... More
