Friendly little bar and upstairs restaurant in the shadow of Inverness Castle. The staff were super friendly and gave us plenty of time to sit, relax and enjoy our meal and our conversation. The food was hot, simple and delicious.

We stumbled into this little pub on a cold evening! The food was simple, but fabulous with Scottish dishes that warmed the body and soul! The staff are friendly and welcoming! If you looking for low key but warm and welcoming, this pub fits the bill, with the amazing benefit of an unimpeded view of the castle!

Very good real ales served in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Nice setting for a pub also. Recommended.

This place was recommended to us by the owner of the B&B we stayed at, By the Brae. Great service. The server gave us samples of each beer as we did not know what we wanted to drink. The food was good pub food and came out hot and fast.

Good for food and drinks, good choice of beers, good service and am always glad to see George Maclean owner who I have known for many years, first when we were teenagers and he was barman in Latheronwheel Hotel which was another great place but sadly closed now. George always runs a good establishment of which there has been quite... More

Stopped in as we roamed around the city for a pint and food. The beer of course was good but the food wasn't spectacular. Not sure what the fuss is about. We did stop by between lunch and dinner, so maybe it was just an odd time, as the service was slow too.

They gave us a warm welcome on a busy early fall evening. The food was standard pub fare but the service was great!

We stayed close to this place and decided to grab a drink. It has an atmosphere of local patrons and diners mixed with tourists. Service was polite and friendly. Enjoyed our visit, the only negative was they must be dealing with a fruit fly? problem, as there were a few buzzing around the bar taking away from the otherwise great... More

Great pub, serving good food and a great selection of real ales and whiskies. There is a lovely seating area outside with nice views. Well recommended.
