We arrived at the café to find a small queue but decided to wait and we were not disappointed. Although at a glance the menu is a little pricey it is definitely worth it! The food was fresh, delicious and there was lots of it! The staff were very friendly too and we loved that we could buy the chai... More

yeap this place is really good and you should visit it if you are in the area... I was told about it from a colleague that she is from Australia (the owner is from New Zealand as well). The place is on the top floor of a building that looks like a chalet and they have a clothing/sport gear shop... More

We visited for lunch and it was amazing. We both had their chicken sandwiches with salad included which was superb so tasty and filling. The piping hot coffee was lovely to wash it down and to finish off an amazing fruit scone which came with butter and jam just lovely. The mountain cafe has such a welcoming ambience with wood... My partner and I went on a spur of the moment mid week motorcycle run and we reached Aviemore from Ayrshire in a few hrs. We stayed over in a hotel in Aviemore and the price incl breakfast, but we skipped the hotel breakie to go to this wee gem. Seriously everything about this place is spot on, food, portions... More

Opens early, great setting and food good if you want 'real food' We only went in for coffee and a snack so were rather shocked at being offered pancakes for about £10! In the end we shared a pile of pancakes and berries and actually the whole thing would have been too much. The staff were nice.

We do love this place. It's highly reputable menu does justify the price and wait however I think with small children we'll have to stop coming here as the wait is just too long for them. A tub of crayons or such like wouldn't go a miss.

We use some of Scotland's best local produce to create healthy, wholesome & interesting food with a Kiwi twist. We opened our doors in 2004 and have been gaining awards and accolades for our antipodean style coffees, delicious breakfasts, superb lunches & fresh home baking ever since. Our service is friendly & casual with a professional team from all over the world. The café offers excellent views of the Cairngorm Mountains - enjoy our balcony area during summer and the cosy log burner to sit by during the winter months. All the pictures are of our food - why not come in and sample our hospitality when you are in the area next?
