Great value for the city centre. Food delicious. Very generous portions. Service can be a bit hit and miss but overall a great, reliable restaurant in the centre.

Having booked with a group of friends for lunch, and having been here before many times for dinner, we were all looking forward to our meal. The place was very busy understandably, but staff seemed on edge from the moment we arrived. Drinks orders had to be given twice on two separate occasions as drinks had not arrived, the arribiata... We were told we could only have the table for 2 hours for Saturday lunch. Our conversation was constantly interrupted by a rude waiter rushing us through every course reaching over snatching plates and napkins as soon as we were finished. The food was very good but the rude waiter spoiled or experience so we won't be back. If you... More

I always go to La Vitas with my parents every Christmas because the food is amazing, the staff are friendly and it has a warm Christmas atmosphere (pretty sure they had it's a wondeful life on the tele if you like that film lol). I love and always order the minestrone soup, spaghetti bolognese and apple pie. The food is... More

Visited last night with friends. Now I must stress that I get its Christmas and it's busy but what we saw last night was disgusting!!! We were seated by the door down stairs, which every time it was opened (and generally left opened) there was a very cold breeze. We ordered our food and drinks, there was a bit of... More

Excellent service, really nice lunch, good atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable price. Safe to say that we all enjoyed our lunch. I've visited La Vita many times and can wholeheartedly recommend it, it's a great centrally located place.

Didnt get a chance to eat. Place was really busy. Was told we had table for 90 mins. My mother and I placed upstairs. Restraunt is cramped. To many seats for space. Waited 10 mins. No drinks order taken. You could either order a main from main menu or only 3 course set on fri. We would have been rushed... More

Popped in here for quick breakfast after dropping someone off at train station. Husband had full breakfast, I had toast, beans, bacon and sausage. Food poor quality, expensive and not very hot. Neither of us were able to eat the lorne sausage. Tasteless and dripping in grease. We said this to the waiter but he was uninterested. As we left... More

Had lunch with a friend, and our children. I had mac cheese balls, no seasoning to them at all, really bland, the turkey - it was reminiscent of a school dinner. Felt like they had put thick, hot gravy over a plate which had been sitting out for a while, cold and hard roast potatoes and rubbery veg, and the... More
