The Bay Tree has been an underrated local institution for quite some time. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and it's definitely the kind of place that you could take a great book to read over spiced coffee and outstanding baclava. Tonight, though, we ate. And what a treat! Beautifully aromatic grilled lamb and chicken kebabs on saffron rice and... More

We ate here on a recent 'cultural' trip to Glasgow anjd definitely enjoyed the experience. The Bay Tree describes its food style as 'Mediterranean'; I think it's definitely Eastern Med, and perhaps more Turkish than anything else. My wife's vegetarian, I'm not - and both of us had very good meals. We didn't 'bring our own' wine, but tried the... More

I went here with a friend and on arrival we weren't even smiled at our greeted and stood standing until finally we were told to take a seat. Menus came to us pretty quickly and we ordered right away. We had a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel and a chicken wrap, we waiting for 20 minutes and were told... More

Went in here for lunch today. This used to be a great Vegetarian restaurant years ago but now caters for meat eaters too. So glad after many years we returned. It has some great vegetarian options. We are a family of 3 Vegetarians, 1 vegan and 1 meat eater. Absolutely brilliant place to eat for us all collectively but I... More

Convenient location on great western road. Does not sell alcohol but you can BYOB. Good options for vegans and vegetarians, food quite nice although service is a little slow.

Perhaps the Asian food is better but the breakfast was not good. Requests couldn't be met - eg request to leave off the beans and tomatoes on one breakfast, and soft yolks - despite being very straightforward. And a deep-fried from frozen veggie burger thing was served up - not pleasant. I will never be back to what was once... More

The food was mediocre. Upon arrival we asked for further details about the lunch deal and the waitress confirmed what we were ordering was in the deal. Around 15 mins after ordering the waitress now informed us that 2 of the items we ordered were not in the deal and asked if we'd like something else. 15 minutes in I... More

After waiting for over 10 minutes for service we then had to watch as the server ignored us and proceeded to serve 2 separate tables of customers which arrived after us.

Thank Nicola T
