Waited for 3 hours to sing. Ended up getting bored and left. Drinks were ok and atmosphere was good.

I have been, in the bar, a few times but never knew there was an upstairs! It is not fine dining but a good wholesome meal. The steak pie was excellent. Our waitress was very able and friendly.

I understand that it is pretty busy on a Friday but you could try the royal Scot bar which is just a minute's walk from the horseshoe bar and there is a bar called the crystal palace you could try as well. Hope this helps.
