I liked the atmosphere in this restaurant, nicely decorated, the service was ok. The highlight is definitely the food. Fresh, delicious flavours, and the portions are generous. I'd definitely go back for the food. I reckon drinks are a bit overpriced. The reason I say the service was ok is because my partner and me waited over 10 minutes for... More

Superb food, made from scratch. Excellent service, and a nice place to boot. Can't recommend enough.

Visited with friends for a late lunch and can't wait to go back. We sat upstairs which was good because the smells downstairs are quite strong (not unpleasant but I hate food smells once I've eaten and feel stuffed) but upstairs was fine. My wife and I shared Pho Bo (which was huge), a chilli pork dish and honey chicken... More

Small restaurant packed with atmosphere. It's like street food with seats, very fresh and cooked to order, so more like a Vietnamese tapas bar. Noodle soup very tasty, pork belly and sea team delicious, although a bit mean with 3 small cubes of pork. Ok value but if you just go for the noodle soup, really good value. Would go... More

We had heard about this restaurant and thought it was interesting so would give it a try. The restaurant itself is a nice wee place just off of the main thoroughfare of Byres Road, we were sat at a table with wooden stools, which might not suit everyone but we were fine with this. The menu suggests that you order... More

My sons birthday choice, as we have been to the bothy across the lane ,he decided to try Hanoi bike shop. The small restaurant was mobbed. Small tables and wooden stools and benches are not the most comfy but I think the idea is so you don't sit too long ? The food is like tapas small portions to share... More

I tried Vietnamese food for the first time here and I was not disappointed: I had a tofu hotpot and it was amazing, they make the tofu by themselves and it is very good. I really am looking forward to visit it again! The only little unhappy thing about this restaurant is the small space and tables

Had heard good things about Hanoi Bike Shop and so was expecting a treat....unfortunately I was disappointed. I guess the initial concept of the restaurant was to recreate dining in a crowded bustling street in Vietnam. The restaurant and even the unpleasant aroma certainly tries its hardest but fails. The restaurant is small and crowded. We might as well have... More

We visited Hanoi Bike Shop because we are going to Vietnam in a few weeks and thought it would be nice to see what the local take on Vietnamese cuisine was like. The positives - it is in a good location, the restaurant was busy and the staff were friendly. Our order was taken quickly and the food came quickly... More

Visited here and had a great dinner experience. Waitress talked us through the menu and there was plenty to choose from. Great for our group that there were vegan and gluten free options of all dishes. We were advised to order three dishes each and that was a lot of food. The side dishes are really generous. There is a... More
