Good selection of real beer and good food options. A cut above your normal Glasgow city centre pub! Worth a visit

Had a lovely meal last night in Blackfriars. Food was delicious and the staff very friendly. By chance we met the chef Chris as we left so we were able to thank him in person for the excellent food. Well worth a visit.

Visited the Merchant city unsure where to have lunch. Decided on the Blackfriars pub which I had a drink in but not food. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food, service was great. Lovely relaxing lunch on a Friday afternoon. We will be back.

I often visit this place when in Glasgow. This is a typical British pub with options of local food such as haggis and black puddings. You would get variety of pales from light to dark on lager. Busy on weekends and Tuesdays when it offers...More

We serve what we love - quality beers from around the world and high-calibre home-cooking. We also have a passion for live music and regularly play host to some of the most talented bands in Scotland (and occasionally from farther afield). But most importantly, we believe in a high standard of customer service - a welcoming atmosphere, attentiveness and of course, getting your pint in a timely manner (we know you're thirsty)!
