About
On the bustling stretch of Glasgow's Argyle Street sits a diminutive blue building, dwarfed by lofty tenements. From humble beginnings as a Drovers' Tavern c.1800, (and said to have been frequented by Rob Roy Macgregor!) a cabinet maker, a hotelier and even a dairy farmer have called its' brick walls home. Today, the building is home to The Finnieston Bar & Restaurant, serving up the very best in Scottish Seafood and Award Winning Cocktails, Champagnes and Beers. We pride ourselves on our commitment to serving only the very best of Seasonal and Sustainable Scottish Seafood, complimented by local Scottish Produce, whilst our award winning Bartenders craft exceptional cocktails featuring our carefully

The food was vey good, we really enjoyed the cod and chorizo. The service was a bit slow and that did spoil our enjoyment a bit, maybe we picked a bad night. The restaurant was very helpful at changing my booking at the last minute...when I had double booked by accident so that was greatMore

Last minute booking for a birthday meal. We're visiting from Swansea, S Wales for a birthday treat and family get together around Scotland. What a fantastic place, nothing much to look at from outside, but it was inside that mattered. Dozen fabulous oysters to start...with tabasco and whisky as a dressing if desired. Then Clam Vongole for a tasty main. Desert was pineapple and peach ice-cream - which tasted like 'spare ribs' due to the pink peppercorn and star anise, bizarre!!!!! But tasty. Cocktails and more cocktails. Staff were brilliant and really enjoyed our visit. When in Glasgow again we will be back and have recommended to family living locally.More

Had the Vongole, a dish I love. Linguine was cooked to perfection, bouillabaisse very good. But only 6 clams. Yep, 6. Not really what I’d expect. Apart from that, service great, oysters amazing.

We had a wonderful time at the Finnieston, the fish dishes were incredible and all served with a smile. Everyone was very friendly and attentive all evening. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll be booking another table. Thanks for a great evening!

There were three of us and we had different starters/ mains - all were excellent. The sole and haddock were exceptional.

We booked for our wedding anniversary and we were greeted with two glasses of Prosecco which was a lovely start to the night. The meal was absolutely amazing and the service was equally as good. Having dined in many great restaurants in Glasgow we would...definitely say it’s up there with the best. Amazing atmosphere and amazing food.More
