Good staff very pleasant, reasonably quick service and very comfortable and clean in the cafe. If you do the bus tour you get a 10% off voucher in their booklet for this cafe. We had a lovely pot of tea and excellent scones with butter cream and jam. Not a wide menu but I would revisit.

I have been here several times now and although it is a nice idea, it always just fails to hit the mark. It is let down by staff who are slow to serve customers, in some cases chatting to their colleagues seems to be a higher priority. On five different occasions I have been there at breakfast time only to... More

Went in with grandchildren for cake and coffee and juice. Nice looking tables and chairs but they need some cushions. They take to long to ask what you want and ages to bring it, although apologies given and staff friendly. Possibly not enough staff. Great coffee and cake.

Upmarket bar serving a good range of beers (Morretti on draught etc) and food. Relaxed atmosphere and busy on Thursday,. You're gonna be £5 a pint.

A craft fair was on in the Hopkirk Building nearby so we came here for a coffee and cake, etc beforehand. The lady serving us seemed to be the manager and provided us with exceptional service with coffee top ups and attention to every detail. The afternoon teas were very well presented and the other dishes were very fresh and... More

We dropped in here on a couple of occasions, as we were staying in the area. On each occasion we were able to sit outside and enjoy the views on the gardens We had teas, cakes, sandwiches and soups. All of them were tasty and reasonably priced and served by mature friendly staff. A very pleasant cafe in a lovery... More

Visited here recently for a cuppa, but when we saw the sandwiches coming out we ordered ham with mustard, it was excellent came with a little side salad and plenty of ham. Perhaps a little pricey. The staff are very friendly and busy. Outdoor seating and in the cafe.

I have been here a few times. So you might think I must like it and the truth is the food and facilities are reasonable . They have good toilet facilities if you need baby changing facilities . Food is not bad at all but rather simple . They have fresh soup and sandwiches baked potatoes and the usual things... More

As the title says the staff were so friendly and chatty. They seem over worked so my coffee did come out warm and not hot and the same with my jacket potato- but their friendliness made it all worth while- and of course you have the beautiful surroundings of the gardens so your view is beautiful. Would return.
