We ordered starters the soup was amazing with soda bread and a slab of butter the size of a headstone, followed by a man size portion of potato wedges. My friends had great tasting macaroni. Well worth a visit.

Set in the centre of Glasgow by George square this is a popular pub restaurant with good food and beer. The most striking thing about though is the faux art-noveau arts and crafts interior. Absolutely magnificent.

"Best pub food in Glasgow" is definitely used to sucker in the tourists. Ordered a simple burger and things went downhill rapidly. After waiting 40 minutes for said burger the rather friendly bartender admitted he made a mistake and the kitchen had not got my...More

We arrived in early afternoon and wandered around a bit before we could find anyone that worked there. The interior is great - all kinds of nooks and crannies/interesting features. Our waitress was very nice. Service was s-l-o-w, and I was unfortunately hungry having just...More

The initial staff at the bar was really nice and accommodating, in what was not a busy afternoon. Our food did take half an hour to arrive, with the burger burnt and the sandwich bread dry. However, the haggis and mussels were pleasant. One of...More

Stopped here for a drink and lunch...great pub food, lots of atmosphere! Many small rooms, with their own bar, a tree in the centre..like one big tree house...a must see when in Glasgow!

The interior of this place is incredible, 100% not what I was expecting. Drinks for city centre bar as popular as this are very reasonable. For all ages! Will be back for food soon.

Popped in here for a lunchtime drink. A vast place spread across different levels with large and smaller more intimate areas. Interesting decor and flooring. A bit on the dark side. Nice for the evening but didn't seem quite right for lunchtime. Wide range of...More

We had dinner at Waxy's during a recent visit to Glasgow, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The interior is huge, but partitioned into several different sections that make it feel intimate. The decor is unusual and interesting, and the service was excellent. Most importantly, the food...More

Delightful, with the neatest decor I've ever seen in a pub! Don't miss it! They had several floors and life-like trees spanning them, along with painted organ pipes and a multitude of other adorable things.
