I have been here for lunch on a few occasions and have never been disappointed. Today was no different. The lunch menu is reasonably priced and has a good range of options to choose from. The food is good if not exceptional and the service is friendly and relatively quick which can be important at lunch time. Worth a visit... More

Locally sourced meats (steak, pork, black pudding) and large portions. I had the sirloin (£8 supplement) . Massive in size and cooked as requested - on point. Good selection of foods for vegetarian and gluten free available on all courses Good selection of beers and lagers

Late lunch on a 5pm menu. Good value for money. Food was outstanding. Cullen skink to die for. Slow cooked lamb was great. A decent bottle of rioja and a pleasant smiley waitress. What's not to like??? 😊😊

Fabulous food, great atmosphere, cosy - a great night out. Staff could have been a little more relaxed but hey, I am not going to mark it down because of that! Just do it!

My friends and I visited one afternoon for lunch and we were impressed. The menu has a good choice of food, which is sourced locally or within Scotland. We all had something different from the menu and each of those items were delicious. I'd be happy to go back here and recommend it.

I visited cafe source recently with my boyfriend, we had the 5pm deal that's was a 3 course dinner and a glass of wine for £19.95. For my starter I had the black pudding, chorizo and apple bridie which was lovely followed by the beef bourguignon which was just as great. My partner had the Cullen skink to start and... More

We visited this restaurant before attending the burns night at St Andrews in the square. The Cullen skink was good, as was the haggis dinner. Although the dish could have had some more vegetables, no cabbage in the mash or any neeps. Service was good as was my pint of Belhaven.
