This is becoming my favourite place to eat. We had a 6:30 pm reservation, it's a busy wee place so you have to book well in advance. It's cozy and welcoming; and the staff are lovely. My partner had prawn cocktail and balmoral chicken, I had crab cakes and pesto haddock. All were delicious. We had coffee and soft drinks.... More

We were lucky to get a table for 4 at short notice for this hidden gem! Nestled away from the busy west end, it offers a fantastic alternative to the overdressed, disappointing eateries we have suffered. The food from starter to desserts were both truelly home cooked and delicious! Everyone of our party were delighted by the choice & taste,... More

Went to the black sheep bistro for the first time tonight and it certainly won't be the last. The decor is cute and the place has a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was superb. I had the scallops in chorizo stew to start with. The portion was HUGE! I was apprehensive at first as chorizo is usually very overpowering however... More

As an occasional visitor to Glasgow I had been trying to get a booking for this restaurant for ages and was amazed to get a last minute booking on Friday. Small cosy place with about 30 places. Service excellent, food superb in extremely generous portions. The scallops, black pudding and Parma Ham was to die for. Only very slight downside... More

Tiny establishment slightly off the beaten track that is worth finding. Could not recommend it highly enough, book in advance so you are not disappointed. The menu is extensive and all the food is excellent. The service is always friendly. The portions and very generous and you would do well to get through 3 courses. However pudding is certainly worth... More

We visited the BSB last night for a family meal out. The first thing we noticed was how warm it was and although it's a small restaurant we had plenty of room at our table. There were plenty of starter and main course dishes to chose from and we were not disappointed with any of the dishes served. The portion... More

The Black Sheep Bistro is family run. The food is great. The menu is varied (lots to choose from including vegetarian) and represents Glasgow cuisine at its best. Portion sizes are designed to keep out the cold and comfort drizzle soaked customers. Presentation is immaculate, service is fairly fast and the prices are sensible. I have been three times now... We returned to BSB after a couple of years of non-attendance, wanting to showcase Glasgow's eating standards to some English friends - so glad we did. My macaroni cheese was divine, the garlic bread was amazing and the silence around the table was proof that everyone enjoyed their meals. But the desserts. Since our last visit, BSB have introduced mini... More

Once again we had an excellent meal, in comfortable surroundings and at very reasonable price. You can`t ask for more at this time of year when everyone is rushing about. We were served very quickly and efficiently in a very busy restaurant. I must be lucky, or else the general quality of dinning places has improved over the years. I... More
