The family and I just did a whirlwind trip around Scotland and England, and —with teenage boys—it might as well go down as “The Fish and Chips Tour of Great Britain.” We ate fish and chips all over the place. This was one of the...More

Was not lucky enough to get a table on a busy evening, so had to settle for a take-away fish and chips. The good 15-20 minutes wait well worth it - out food was delicious. The best fish and chips I have ever had... Recommended!

Friends had recommended this restaurant and it lived up to their description. Tried the Arbroath Smokie which was excellent. My wife stuck to the traditional haddock and chips. The fish was soft and moist like fresh fish should be. Chips were dry and tasty with...More

We went here based on our hotel's recommendation. It did not disappoint. We had Monk Fish, Salmon, and Cod -- each one tasted fresh, cooked perfectly. Service was a bit spotty. We had to chase down our server a couple of times -- I would...More

It is quite expensive but we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. Fish, black pudding and sausage were all really nice as were the chips. Staff were friendly.

We grabbed fish and chips here on a recent visit to St Andrews and consider ourselves very lucky to have stumbled across the Tailend. The fish was well-cooked and a good size, and the chips were excellent also. A great place to grab your fish...More

We are a family run fish bar and restaurant. We have been in the fish business for four generations and we hope to keep the family tradition going. All our fish is locally sourced and is as fresh as can be. We have our own fish house based in Arbroath, Where we are particularly famous for our Smokies! (Haddock cooked over a barrel, giving an intense smoked flavour) and our Humble Haddock is also a customer Favorite! We are passionate about seafood and it comes across in all our dishes from the Humble Haddock to our Seared Tuna steak! We carry a bespoke range of wines and whiskys suited to compliment your dish, just ask our serving staff for advice.
