We ducked in here when it began to rain and get cooler. I had a scotch whiskey and my wife an americano coffee with a lemon based dessert of some kind - all very good.

The tea rooms are very nice and the staff are very pleasent. A very good menu with plenty of choice. We had tea and cake and shortbread very good in really nice surroundings.

After walking the castle for several hours on a hot day, we stopped at the tea room for a light lunch and cool drink. The food and hospitality are wonderful

We took a break to have a large bowl of warm delicious soup with brown bread and dessert during a cold rainy visit to Edinburgh Castle. The service and food were good and the price reasonable. There is limited space so you may want to...More

Wonderful service, delicious tea and food, perfect atmosphere for afternoon tea. The only thing I would change is the music selection; I'd rather have classical than mellow remakes of bad pop songs with my tea.

Many thanks for your feedback, we always strive to offer value for money with all our dishes and believe that with all our homemade savouries, scones, petit fours and speciality teas that the quality and taste is worth that little bit extra.

Although the "high tea" was not particulary good relative to other places, it was a very nice respite from the touring - a quiet place to rest and talk about all that we were learning.

staff were honestly lovely but I thought the food was a little overpriced for what you recieve. I know it's Edinburgh castle so I expect to be a little rinsed for cash but I thought the cakes were pretty measly for the money they wanted...More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its

place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
