We decided to go for early dinner at this quaint italian joint in town. They were understaffed (only 3 waiters who were rushed but we were served promptly). We had the chicken diavola (which was the best dish) & it was made with aubergines &...More

I came last Friday for my dinner after my grandsons graduation. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced: three courses each at around £20 a head. I had the cabonara which was to die for. We were served by Danilo who was brilliant at his job,...More

We went here for dinner on a day that had, in many ways, been challenging. This meal was the most uncomplicatedly enjoyable part of that day. The waiter was friendly (and Italian!), the food came quickly and was delicious, and the DESSERT choices were amazing....More

Visited for the third time and was a highlight of the trip. Lovely decor and not too far off the Royal Mile. Food is absolutely amazing and brilliantly priced! The staff are so friendly.

Edinburgh was very busy so we choose a restaurant a little away from the Royal Mile. Good friendly service, attractive decor but most of all delicious food. My seafood pasta was excellent as was my husband's pasta with sausage mince.

The restaurant is spectacular! Lots of artwork and murals, huge menu, and very friendly and helpful staff. We ate there several times and each time were pleasantly surprised by the food. The restaurant also has their own home-made ice cream which is an absolute delight.

I had bruschetta to start and the aubergine ravioli, both very good, especially the home-made pasta. Can't wait to go back and try the tiramisu!

I actually feel bad writing a bad review as the quality of the food (such as we actually got to eat) was excellent. What let this restaurant down was the service. The waiter took our orders for a starter but would not take an order...More

The decor in the restaurant is amazing. Something always to look at and to keep you interested. We found out one side of the restaurant has a more pirate themed area due to Robert Louis Stevenson of Treasure Island fame used to frequent the restaurant....More

Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its
labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests
this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly
visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers
that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the
place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as
the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal
Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
