Ex work colleague from Edinburgh recommended this place and so glad he did. Had the pre theatre 2 courses and it was excellent. Such a great little spot. Paris just off Thistle Street.

My husband and I had lunch here and it was fabulous. I started with a lentil and vegetable soup topped with croutons that was savory, hearty and perfect for the snowy day that we had. My husband started with a smoked fish dish with pickled...More

Arrived in Edinburgh and this was the first restaurant we were dining at during our stay. Lovely welcome and authentic interiors. Menu was tasty sounding and they had a good selection of wines. Our food was delicious but we felt was a touch on the...More

We came across this place whilst wandering near Thistle Street. It looked very inviting and very French but with a bias towards Scottish fare and ingredients. We booked and went that night. It was not busy but the surroundings were agreeable and he staff initially...More

Our first visit to CSH was by accident when our original plans fell through at a nearby restaurant. CSH is charming and the service is excellent. But the food is the star - consistently well prepared and thoughtfully conceived. We've gone back again and again.

I’ve been to this restaurant a number of times over the past 4 years or so. Always excellent food and atmosphere. A great choice for any special occasion.

New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town,
