Nothing worse than a long walk around an art gallery and no place to get a nice cuppa afterwards. No problem here! Here is a great little coffee shop with very friendly staff and a great selection of cakes and pastries. Chose the lemon and...More

My in-laws, partner, and I, enjoyed a lovely lunch in Modern Two. The food was excellent, service was good with pleasant staff. We had booked a table but upon arriving the table hadn't been reserved for us which was disappointing, hence the four the stars....More

Lovely place to drop in for lunch. Lovely views, great fresh cooked food and value for money. The café is dwarfed by the magnificent metal sculpture, 'Vulacan' by Eduardo Paolozzi.

Visited the cafe. Very busy so best to book when you enter. Food made from scratch so not a vast selection. Service prompt. Food good.

Good selections of teas, desserts, and lunch items. Freshly prepared and locally as able. Very friendly and welcoming service. Had to be one of the best museum cafe meals I have had. Very good atmosphere; really a very good cafe (with or without the museum).

So glad we stopped at the cafe for lunch. I had the best roasted pumpkin risotto. Rice was cooked down to creamy perfection. (Don’t you just hate it when the risotto is semi grainy hard and it still gets served) None of that nonsense here,...More

Stockbridge & Dean Village
Just downhill of New Town and attractively straddling
a river near the elegant Royal Botanic Garden, it’s
small wonder that Stockbridge became one of the city’s
first hip neighbourhoods. It’s now one of Edinburgh’s
most desirable, though many bohemian touches have
fallen away as its residents have matured and the area
has gentrified. Some second-hand shops cling on, but
mostly residents display refined tastes in basement
